Give me a rundown of the other things he did badly wrong. FYI getting beat one on one by Messi and passing to sissoko when's he's in crap loads of space don't count as problems.

When he came out well, won the ball and then went walkies again wasn't great to be fair... Christ knows how they didnt score.

You simply can't give up chances like that at this level. He's been such a good servant and we owe him the faith and loyalty he showed in us, but he's got to up his game. Lloris cost us tonight

After walking the dog I now feel calmer. That was a better second half but make no mistake, while it could have been 3-3, it could equally have been 2-6. We’re loose and wild at moments and this costs us against teams taking their chances. We really need to tighten up. However, this was a severely weakened side and the fact we played ourselves into the game was great to see

Poch can preach hardwork and attitude all he wants but it will only get you so far. All credit to him for getting the best out of this squad, we're punching above our weight in terms of money and in terms of playing staff. With all due respect to Sissoko (who I have no doubt is a fantastic athlete and model professional) he could work as hard as he likes, he isn't PL, let alone CL vs Barcalona standard. Never has been, never will be. Some people are born with bricks for feet, he is one of them.

Vertonghen was a massive loss, he's such a consistent, ever-present and commanding figure in our defence. As good as Sanchez is and may become one day, these games are a bit too much for him at times. He has a long way to go.

Sissoko wasn’t in loads of space and it was Sissoko he should never of passed it to him anywhere in our half

Much wailing and nashing of teeth. Understandably when the loss is 45 minutes ago. But look at it objectively. Sans Vert, Dele and Erikson there was no way we'd get anything better than a draw against Barcelona. And balls to their La Liga form : that team is European royalty, you simply can't delude yourself we'd have a chance. Poch has played Vert, Dele and Eriksen every game since about 1066 Battle of Hastings for a reason. They're part of our spine.

Unfortunately, it is now starting to show that, due to lack of activity in the last transfer window, we are not capable of playing with a solid team due to lack of resources. IMO, they tried their best, however, Lloris's mistake did not help us at all. Messi was on fire tonight snd when he is in such a form hiew is unstoppable. Looks like its goodbye toi Champions League.

Do you mean the Lloris with a World Cup winner's medal?

do you recall Croatia's second goal? Lloris hasnt always been a bottler but he's been making a lot of blunders over the last 12 months. Im of the opinion that if you get a DUI you probably have a problem. Not necessarily an alcoholic but your head probably isnt in the right place.

Not many positives to take from that game, but I’ll have a go...

In the 2nd half of the 2nd half, we started seeing the Winks pre injury, busy, tracking back, tenacious and forward thinking.

Lamela, love that guy.

Kane putting himself about.

Coherent pressing in the last 30 minutes. We went for it but we did it as a unit. Yes Barca May have eased off a tad, but I think we wrestled the game from them in those 30 minutes and had them very worried.

Let’s not forget we were missing more than a few key players with our midfield anchored by 2 players still rustle from long term injuries.

Can’t really come up with too much more, but we saw glimpses of the Spurs that got us so excited not so long ago, quick passing and movement with unified pressing that will put many teams under the cosh.

I live in hope that this is the start of us seeing this team starting to click.

Never mind though, if you believe some people on this forum, if Davies & Trippier weren't playing we might have won lol

If I may be so bold, tonight was peak spurs. Huge game against prestige opposition... And we give a goal away in the first minute. Then rather than let us relax and watch in comfortable apathy, they only go and bloody play brilliant and make us hope again! So that when we shoot ourselves in the customary foot, it hurts and annoys.

Bloody Spurs. To paraphrase the great Peter Cook "she's like the worst kind of mistress, who treats you bad and lets you down, but you can't help go back to her for the thrill of what might be".

It's just really gut wrenching to have to admit that we are going backwards. The players know it, Poch knows it, we know it.

We just accept that Barca are going to roll us over and that we are happy enough just to give them a game. Fine, so we weren't embarrassed. Call that some sort of moral victory if you want.

But I was there tonight and I was there last year when we destroyed Madrid. And we are not the same team. You can point to Eriksen and Dele being missing, but even they have shown a big dip in form this season - and besides, I reckon we will be permanently missing at least one of them next season.

Truth is, Levy and Poch messed up big time. Good clubs plan for the future and are prepared for the unexpected. On the other hand, our success is completely dependent on our key players avoiding injuries and experiencing no drop off in form and performance. Even then, it's only good enough to finish 3rd.

But maybe our slide backwards is perfectly acceptable to some on this forum.

Lloris should have punted it upfield, Trippier should have punted it upfield, Sissoko should have been able to take the ball from the pass. 2 bad decisions and a lack of skill created that one.
If the manager is telling them to play out with 10mins to go, you can’t blame the players for adhering to the ‘philosophy’
