Vorm, not at fault.
Vlad, goal aside awful.
Verts, okay, but dragged down by the mediocrity to his right.
Kaboul dreadful.
Davies, steady.
Townsend, impressive, man of the match
Stambouli, solid.
Capoue, good goal, think he might have still been upfield from corner 20 minutes previously as he runs slower than most walk.
Rose, did okay, looks better when he doesn't have to tackle/defend.
Pauli, one of his better games without being spectacular
Soldado. All headlines about that miss, which was a shocker, but otherwise pretty influential.

Dier. Okay
Chadli, dangerous
Onomah, looks decent

Townsend was very good. First time this season he has played as well as at the start of last. Paulinho played well too- better further forward.
Chriches was awful as usual despite the goal.
Defence less secure without Fazio!
And poor old Soldado. Missed an open goal, failed to get on the end of good crosses, preservers but gets no luck either.

Vorm 6 - not a great deal to do and no blame re goals. Kicking not great.

Chiriches - 6 poor defensive play but nice going forward.

Davies - 6 steady

Verts - 7 looking like his old self.

Kaboul - 5 shake

Stambouli - 6 quiet. Odd bits of nice play and strong tackling.

Capoue - 8 very strong. Great goal and all round play.

Paulinho - 7 flashes of confidence returning. Nice well taken goal.

Andros - 8 mom. Used ball really well. Ran them ragged, great crosses.

Rose -7 actually did quite well in midfield. Busy.

Soldado 7 - awful miss but two assists.

I lurk mostly these days, but still post every one in a while when I've got the time and/or something to say, but nowhere near as much as back in the day.

You're obviously a Soldadoist.

Townsend played well, Paulinho was decent going forward although no one on his wave length for most off his flicks, chirches was fairly poor certainly sloppy in possession.

Verts and Kaboul had an argument which led to chants of "Super Jan" and Kaboul later had another row with another spurs player.

Chirches pointed to his ear at the crowd when he scored.

Fist fight between spurs fans in the park lane upper.

Bet that was for someone going super overboard when Bobby missed that chance.

Na was pretty early on, maybe 2-0 down though, seemed to be 2 on 2 with someone tumbling about 5 rows. One weasel throwing punches like he was blowing kisses soon fled when the stewards turned up. Was pretty odd as they were in acres of space seat wise but still managed to kick off...

Crowd were fairly supportive of Bobby, even after the miss, big applause when he got shots in and not in an ironic way.

Vorm 5 - Not entirely sure it was his fault as Kaboul and Vertonghen were pretty unhelpful with providing a decent outlet but he was kicking it up the pitch a lot, particularly early on, and a lot of those kicks were poor. Strange because his distribution has impressed me whenever else I've seen him this season.

Chiriches 3 - Awful. Probably should be a lower score but he did get a goal and he did have to play on the same side as Kaboul.

Kaboul 2 - Awful. Probably should be a lower score but he did have to play on the same side as Chiriches.

Vertonghen 4 - The argument seemed to stem from Jan believing Kaboul should have been sweeping behind him as he went towards the ball. I thought Kaboul was in the right and I might be wrong but I think that the Burnley player got given offside anyway.

Davies 6 - Solid enough, didn't really do anything wrong or right.

Capoue 5 - He played okay really but he gets a low rating because I find it hard to believe he and Stambouli were supposed to be playing the roles they were. There was a few moments when our defence had pushed up but those 2 were only a couple of yards ahead of them and showing no desire to close down. Scored a good goal though, reminded me of the ones Huddlestone used to score.

Stambouli 4 - See above.

Townsend 9 - Caused problems throughout the game, even when everyone around him was playing badly. A couple of badly miss-hit crosses but still one of his best performances, I think.

Paulinho 7 - Gets in good positions, if he had a bit more pace I think he'd be a really good player.

Rose 7 - Like Paulinho he got into some good positions throughout the game. Like with his play from left back he's better off getting the ball in the final third. Really liked his desire to attack the 6 yard box for his goal, I don't think many players make that run.

Soldado 6 - Sorry but you can't miss those. It was a hot and cold game for him, perfectly placed pass for Rose but a recurring problem I have with him is that he never commits to attacking the 6 yard box, or at least not soon enough. That's why we always see crosses across the box getting cut out, or him sliding in vain as the ball fizzes past him, just out of reach.

Subs didn't really do anything of note but it was good to see Onomah getting a chance and looking comfortable at this level.

That's really funny ! To be truthful when I saw our team I thought that's a nightmare about to happen. Fortunately Burnley 's defence was it seems even weaker than ours.

Vlad had a hand in 2 of our goals. Was at fault for none of there's and made many good tackles interceptions.

You lot are blinded.

Vorm, not much to do once he woke up but not really any thing he could do about their goals He's quite short for a goalie
Vlad, poor. They identified him as a weak link and Andros left him exposed. The number of times he drifted in and left a sapce behind him was worrying
Verts. Good with some excellent tackles but he and Kaboul don't seem to get along
Kaboul ok. Drifted to the left into averts territory meaning Vlad had to cover meaning the right was constantly exposed. Poor distribution with lots of loose balls
Davies, nothing spectacular as they hardly attacked down the left. He and Rose worked well together.

Townsend, motm. And I don't like the guy. He always looked to attack and we all needed some of that I keep us warm. Having worked with Lennon and Bale its a shame he's chosen Lennons crossing as a target for achievement. If he cod just forget about a step over beat his man and get an early cross in,our Bobby might just see some goal action

Stambouli, solid. No pirouettes today which was a shame His song was to the tune of Stand By Me

Capoue, see Stambouli. Great goal though
Rose, not one of my favourites but a decent game. Would be nice if he attacked when in possession coz he's pretty fast. We'll taken goal. Poached! His song was To the tune of Daddy Cool

Pauli, one of his better games without being spectacular

Bobby. He really has no luck and I don't think I'd trust him with a penalty in his current form. That said he links the front up really well. Two assists including a cross to Rose that he must be crying out for.

Subs: none had much time to make an impression other than Chadli and he Brought some attacking flair on the left which was missing

We scored 4 goals at home. Burnley hardly had a sniff after their admittedly poor first and freak free kick. It was a great comeback and shows the spirit within the squad that a largely second string side could do that.

Maybe enjoy football a bit more instead of wallowing in negativity?

Can anyone explain why we put out our strongest team for the match at Turf Moor but then fielded the second string for the replay? If we weren't bothered about the competition, I would have expected us to have put out a weak team first time round. I was also disappointed that Pochettino didn't take the opportunity to start some of the youngsters (e.g. Dier at CB, Winks).

Nobody has mentioned the conditions. There was a gale blowing and it was probably the reason that Vertonghen misread the long ball that led to Sordell's goal. It was a night to keep the ball on the ground.

Vorm 5 - No chance with the goals but nothing else to do. He had a quiet night.

Chiriches 3 - We've had some poor defenders (e.g. Gilberto and Atouba) but Vlad is perhaps the worst. O.k. going forward, hence the 'high' mark.

Kaboul 4 - Managed to get into separate arguments with Jan, Vorm and Vlad. Would have preferred to see Dier or Ball.

Vertonghen 6 - One great tackle to recover from a mistake and generally o.k. Probably it was mainly his fault for the first goal.

Davies 7 - Solid.

Capoue 5 - Looks to have put on a fair bit of weight in his inactivity. He was never that quick but now has the mobility of Huddlestone without the vision. Goal was Huddlestone-esque.

Stambouli 5 - meh

Townsend 8 mom - Still frustrates me but he did cause Burnley all sorts of problems.

Paulinho 7 - Good

Rose 6 - Fairly quiet but scored a goal. Looked to have picked up a knock (hamstring?) in the aftermath of scoring.

Soldado 7 - Good apart from the 'MISS'. A couple of assists and a great run where he beat 2-3 players and fired a shot inches wide. He must have walked under heaps of ladders and broken stacks of mirrors to have such a bad run of luck. It was noticeable that 3 of his team-mates went over to console him after the miss. Of course, he did actually get one last night but at the wrong end.

Chadli 6 - Some nice touches but game was already over.

Dier 6 - Better than Vlad.

Onomah 5 - Should have been given more than 15 minutes.

We are bothered about the competition, there is just fixture congestion and we need to rotate. Simple as that.
