Get Sissoko to double up against H-O and we're good to go, just don't trust Trippier left by himself...

Was it just me, or at the time was there more attention on the tackle than the offside/onside? Surely the tackle was the clear cut part of it!

What happened to 'last man' and 'clear goalscoring opportunity'?

They relaxed the rules

"When a denial of a goalscoring opportunity offence is committed by a defender in the penalty area, the penalty kick effectively restores the goalscoring opportunity so the punishment for the player should be less strong (e.g. a yellow card) than when the offence is committed outside the area"

From what I am reading (not watching, following on Twitter and here), it seems he was ruled offside..I don't know how anything that happens after the whistle blows (unless it's something absurd) can be allowed. Everything should be dead at that point.

Refs should be taught to hold their whistle and err on the side of NOT making the call, then let VAR reverse it at that point.
Not how VAR works. Assistant referees to just flag as normal if they think it is. Up to the players to play to the whistle

Not sure if Harry did it on purpose but he's actually struck that penalty while Kepa is in the air doing his stupid attempt at distraction. He dives late because his feet only land on the ground after the pen is struck. I'd be furious if I was a Chelsea fan.

Bye. When Kane is tackled for the pen, watch his right leg swing to the right to ensure maximum contact with Kepa

Sometimes, as much as it hurts, you have to give the opposition credit. They're not pressing our cb's like maniacs, instead they're dropping a little and contesting the middle third of the pitch where they're a lot stronger. It's made difficult viewing because unless Eriksen or Alli drop in deeper we're confined to sideways and backwards passing until we find a full back via the keeper.

Even if playing the older rule, would not have been a red because Kane's touch took the ball away from instead of at the goal. New rule is designed to not double the penalty by giving both a PK and sending off a man.
