It will be interesting to see how Robbie Keane links up with VDV. I'm not saying we should keep him but imagine if we had the Keane/Berbatov combo from a few years ago with VDV, Bale, Modric and Sandro behind them.

These friendlies are pretty uneventful without any new signings on show

Yea , although I'm still interested to see how Rafa will be used and how he will play, will be interesting to see Luka as well. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit of Kranjcar also.

The Vodacom Challenge is a association football pre-season tournament that features Vodacom-sponsored South African giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs plus from 2006 onwards an invited European club. Prior to 2006, the competition consisted of the two Soweto giants and two invited African clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur became the first non-African team to win the competition in 2007.

Kaizer Chiefs is a South African football club, founded 7 January 1970 in Soweto, Johannesburg. The team is nicknamed Amakhosi which means "lords" or "chiefs" in Zulu. They currently play most of their home games at Soccer City in Soweto, which is commonly also referred to as the FNB Stadium. The club is unarguably the biggest football club in the country in terms of success. It is also the most supported club in South Africa and the neighbouring countries of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia etc. It has been estimated that the club has over 16 million supporters.

They have a local rivalry with Orlando Pirates, a fellow Soweto team which Chiefs founder Kaizer Motaung played for in his early playing career.

The Chiefs were banned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from competing in African club competitions until 2009 after their abrupt withdrawal from the 2005 CAF Confederation Cup. This was the second time in four years that Chiefs had been penalized by CAF for refusal to participate in a scheduled CAF competition.

I'm putting my 100% record on the line with this one I admit, but it can work. Martin Jol said his future is upfront and likened him to Henry too.
