In the Fair Play system the 'fairest' country in Europe, England this year, gets an automatic UEFA Cup spot.
Two other nations are drawn out of the hat out of those who finished with a coefficient of above 8 or something like that.
So City, unless this game ruined it for them, are guaranteed a UEFA Cup spot. If they did lose out because of today it goes to Fulham.

I am not liking Ramos very much, we seem to have thrown away a lot of games. It all started after the Calring Cup win. to be honest we have been a joke since then and if we are playing like this under Ramos, I'd rather have BMJ back!

We up and smell the coffee boys!

Playing like this? Well yeah, with the players that showed no heart to get Jol out of a spot and have no heart to show they want to fight for a place in the team next season.

Ramos will get the players in this summer that want to play for him and I think we'll see a much improved side next season.

Are you honestly saying we should get rid of Ramos?

We still can't beat a top four side! I thought we would have a go today to show our intent for next season, seems we didn't!

So we didn't beat Arsenal and Chelsea this season, and almost beat Man United at home had the game ended when it should have, we would have done.

Do you really think we would be better off at this point under Jol still? Because i very much doubt that.

Ramos has ensured we are playing in Europe next season with our only realistic way into the competition. Other than that the season was a wash before he got hold of the reigns.

The seasons over now, next season imo will be very very different, ramos is a succesful manager and i'm sure when the season starts again, we'll see a different Tottenham altogether.

We nearly beat Top 4 teams countless times under Jol, both UTD and Liverpool this season we should have and could have easily won.

Under Ramos we have only beaten them in cups where Ramos was playing 3 players in a defence that Jol had no option of using this season. And the cup is a pile of shit anyway.

I didn't think you were capable of shocking me any more than you already have. I was wrong.

I feel this series of poor results has got the players used to doing badly under Ramos ,it will have affected their expectations and confidence .

I love the idea that suddenly a totally new Spurs will spring into action at the start of next season , but am unsure that this dreadful period since CC won't have an effect .

Management have been unable to motivate the players .Its as simple as that . I find this worrying .

Unbelievable. The Ramos out chants have begun already. FFS, what did you expect? He's turned our season around, won us our first trophy this decade, battering Arsenal and beating Chelsea along the way. I can't believe what I'm hearing here. Jol had his chance, and while he definitely had a major influence on our improvement this last few seasons, he's gone and you lot need to build a bridge.

Ramos is a proven winner - give him a chance.

He is gone, he now has a new job, he is not coming back.... get over it.

Atleast give Ramos a full season of his own before you start calling for him to be replaced. He has already delievered us Uefa cup and our first piece of silverwear for 9 years, he atleast deserves to have judgement reserved until after he has had a pre season and cant start a fresh with some more of his own players and with a clean slate (in league postion terms)

Is there any part of you that is starting to believe there is something im my theory of the limitations a coach can have at the highest level? At this level the last thing a club needs is a team of players that need to be "coached". Look at the impact Woodgate has had. He doesn't need coaching or being told to concentrate at set pieces and the results are there to be seen (in terms of defensive record not points). We could drill defending routines every hour of the day with the likes of Dawson and Kaboul, yet Woodie and Leds would still do a far better job even is Ramos had never spent a second training with them. It's the same in midfield aswell. We could spend all summer practising but I bet at the end of it, Zokora won't be able to stay in position or set a tempo, JJ will try and do too much, Lennon will still be a poor crosser and Steed will still need to cut inside.

Not in the league we didn't - nearly's are no good if we are seriously going to challenge for a top four spot. i am not saying we would have been better off with Jol. I'm not really knocking Ramos, but if he can't motivate players other than in cup matches then we are in trouble. I'm sure there will be a change of personnel before we start again, I only hope we start well or the same 'nothing to play for' mentality may creep in again.

I reckon that Ramos has allowed a few players to 'Hang themselves' over the past 7 or 8 games, and i wont be surprised to see a couple of "Favorites" sold on in the summer!
We are not going to get any closer to the top 5 with what we currently have, and he knows it!

Not really Joey . I'm still of the opinion that a top manager makes a big difference .

For example Modric's signing , according to his quoted remarks was a direct result of Ramos being our manager .I'm happier that Ramos is here with an input into our transfer policy rather than the situation this time last year .

Pre CC final JR seemed to be able to effectively switch the team around in a way that surprised us and the oppo in equal measure .

and I'm sure you accept that , a Keegan Man Utd would not be celebrating his 10th title today .

However , I take your point that the faults you identify in these players may remain whatever the management regime here at Spurs . But then surely a top manager will have the gravitas to simply ship 'em out , no ?

Well I'm still backing JR big-time - to take us on in the situation we were in after Jol had left, to get us our first trophy for nine years - qualify us for Europe (twice :) - move us up 7 places - it's a great acheivement - a mini-miracle if you like - for me overall it's still a very good season - tho it's true if we flop next year I might look back and say it was only a good one in retrospect -

People seem to be forgetting that before Jol left we were deep in the relegation zone. Yes, he took us to fifth twice in a row but i fail to believe we would have got up to 11th with Jol.
