Verts, Alli & Kane escaped without a 5th yellow of the season and will now avoid any suspensions in the coming games.

think the difference in the last 2 games is that we started quite well with good tempo and pressed right from the whistle......through our run of bad form since the Madrid we seem to have started game very lethargically and only woken up after 75 mins

much better!!

PS - with every game I hate wembley more.....cant wait to go home

Good going forward, good in the final third and very good on the counter.

Poor at the back throughout the game with some excellent defending from Verts. Similar to the Dortmund, Real and Liverpool games where our attacking play got all the plaudits, but on another day we could have conceded more goals.

He's superb in many departments but I said before the season that we should cash in on him and buy Pickford. Can he not be improved technically by our coaching team? The way we play needs someone who can really pass.

If you thought Lloris passing was bad then you haven’t seen Pickford play. It’s a miracle if he makes a good long pass

...Hugo's diabolical distribution is starting to infect his overall keeper play - even on the Rose near-own goal, he could have judged the flight of the ball correctly, taken a step back, and easily collected..

Just got home, thought it was quite an odd performance in some ways. I didn't think we were at our finest by a long way and yet scored five! Some really poor passing and brain lapses - some of them perhaps overindulged over the festive period perhaps (although clearly not as much as SCBC who were pretty dire.)
