I think Arshavin is absolutely the wrong buy now. We have so many attacking midfielders. We need a target man up top.

surely this transfer window should have taught you, its not about what players we need, we have muppets running our club.

Oh dear! Another loss, though not perhaps totally unexpected. I think today it was really clear to see how BIG losses Keane and Berba and almost 50 goals/season are. Of course we knew they are BIG losses, but personally I hoped we could get over with it rather sooner than later.

I think there was some positive signs today and our game is going to right direction. We had enough good chances to win the game, we just didn't score when at this level you are supposed to score. Our squad on the pitch shouted for a goalscoring striker!!

So, lately we've been linked with Arshavin. But I think today's match showed that we have good enough attacking midfielders and enough creativity. We don't need another attacking midfielder. We need a striker! We need a goalscorer and Arshavin isn't such.

Another worrying thing is that our squad is too lightweighted and short. But this has been discussed enough lately, so won't bother you with it anymore.

Chelsea away next. I'm not expecting anything from that, if not a good performance. The thing I'm expecting from the rest of August is that we will find and sign a quality striker. Perhaps much more easily said than done, unfortunately.

Now I think I'm off for a couple of days. Just don't want to depress myself more by reading so many expected premature reactions after today's game.

Just want to give Ramos and the team a peace to concentrate for the rest 36 games in the league!

Oh, one thing! I hope we will lose some pre-season games next summer. Perhaps then it will be easier for the team and for us to start the Prem!

Was at the game today and we where simply dreadful! We cant defend plain and simple! We look nervy everythime Sunderland got near our goal, How fit Ledley is im not sure Ill admit ive never been an Assou Eketto fan I think he simply isnt good enough. Bale needs to play left back. Zokora is doing a job at right back but I think we should give Gunter a run there as he is natural right back

The midfield is just too light weight and also too attacking all the players want to go forward and then dont really want to defend and offer no protection to the back four! Im not a Jenas hater but thought he has been really poor so far this season for us. W are going to have to give Gio and Modric time to settle into premiership.

Im not sure what Ramos was thinking in the second half taking Lennon off putting Gio on and the playing him right midfield and Bentley left. Im no manager but surely its been obvious that Bentley is far more effective playing right midfield.

This is a massive week for the board and our season the board have in the next 10 days go out and buy 4 or 5 players. I was shocked today when picked up program and looked at our squad we have gone from having one of the biggest to having probably the smallest in the premiership we have no cover if we get a few injuries. I think its really poor management by Daniel Levy and comolli and Ramos that we have got into the final week of transfer window with Money burning in our pocket which most of it having been there for past month from various sales in this situation. I can only imagine that the stories about us having to balance the books are true and Ramos hasnt been given the money that we have made on the sale of players to strengthen the squad!

The Berbatov situation also has to be sorted out i think we have to except that Utd have won they have unsettled him and it is now time to let him go for the £25 million they have offered as make no mistake if we dont sell him he is just going to sulk and moan till the January transfer window and i doubt he will give us 100%.

Im very worried how this season is going I think we should all forget about the top four at this rate we will be lucky to make top 10!

I haven't seen any of the action yet, but like you all, I'm deeply disappointed. I sincerely hope that there are no cheesey interviews this week with the players, or coaching staff insisting that the 'defeats are behind us', and we're 'ready to get back to winning ways', because we're quite clearly not. I'll go insane if Berbatov doesn't start next weekend if we still own him, whether he's mentally fit or not. When you have a £30m rated player, injuries permitting, you at least include him in the 18.

Went to the game today, thought our main problem was Darrent Bent. Not having a personal attack on the guy but he simply cannot play as a lone striker. He may have played there for Charlton and scored some goals but look where they were in the table. When we played the ball long to him, he didn't win any headers, maybe 1. His movement was also quite poor which made it difficult for midfielders like jenas, bentley and modric to use him effectively.

I also thought Huddlestone and Gio had a positive impact when they came on. We were really good with the possesion in the second half with these 2 in the side, we seem to have more ideas whereas in the first half we lacked. They also used Modric a lot more in the second half which clearly had a positive effect on modric because i thought he was excellent in the second half. In the first half, the players just didn't use him.

I think once we replace Darren Bent with 2 quality strikers who have more to their game than just scoring goals, we should be ok again. I don't think we should be too unhappy, once this is rectified, we will start picking up the points.

seems we have bought alot of players, good quality players at that, but not really built the right players to address the weaknesses from last year and we have weakened the strong point of our team over the last few years (although our hand was forced here)

We still dont have a left winger or a strong centre midfielder. We now have creativity in midfield but no real attacking prowess to make anything of the creativity.

We've also gone from having one of the largest squads to the smallest in the PL of 21 players.

Suddenly the cupboard looks very bare.
