Our midfield was utter gash last season so we had to go out and buy a new one - that's why we've spanked money on a new midfielf. We're still working on it so it won't be perfect overnight.

The problem was there was not a pair of balls between our 5 midfielders and Berba and Keane have fucked things up for us big time. I think we need to play Zokora in the middle while he is the only midfielder we have with any kind of battling qualities. Preferably get an upgrade but until then we need him fighting for us in there.

I wish the season was over already.

the things that where wrong last year still have not been fixed and the things that were good last year ie our 2 strikers are basically being allowed to go without replacements.Darren bent i am sorry to say is just not good enough and as for anyone we bring in now how are they supposed to gel and find there feet in a struggling team.I dont know who to blame, levy and commoli for allowing players to leave without someone filling that position and the seemingly endless drawn out transfer negotiations or ramos. We are as i have been saying for while now even before the season started in a fair bit of trouble and i really do think that we will be at the wrong end of the table this season.

Modric was getting bossed here there and everywhere just like last week. He cant win the ball nor keep hold of it, and it was just the same in pre-season. A very bad buy in my opinion.

Sorry, can't agree there. He played well trying to link and was always available for the ball. Will turn out to be a fantastic signing

A few points....

1) We lack bite in midfield which is a major issue. :bang:
2) One up top isn't working for us, how long do we persevere with it? :bang:
3) Bent is not a Target man but we are trying to use him as one. :bang:
4) We fanny around in our own half of the pitch when we are a goal behind. We want positive forward passing not sideways and backwards.:bang:
5) We have packed out team full of versatile player to the extent that players do not seem to know what their role is any more. :bang:

We may not get any points until game 5 at this rate. But even that is dependent on getting in a DM, cover at CB and some more striking options.

We really need a DM, otherwise we are going to get overrun in midfield. I think Huddlestone needs to play if we dont sign one while Zokoro contains at RB.

We looked so disjointed today, I can believe Bentley was playing on the left today it was a awful performance.

Bentley, Giovani and Modric all looked good in my opinion. I think Modric's problem stems from the lack of support he got from Jenas some times, and Modric became so much more effective when Huddlestone became the DM, relieving Modric of the defensive responsibilities that were weighing him down. Modric has some defensive ability, but Ramos making Modric the more withdrawn of the central midfielders and giving Jenas room to roam didnt work.

does anyone honestly believe that anybody that is of really good quality is going to want to join us after these 2 results. If we are to get what we need ie CD,DM and now two real quality strikers and i am talking about proven goal scorers then we are going to have to give them big wages and of course we know our beloved chairman does not do this. Will end up with kids who are not proven but have the potential to make us a profit when a bigger club comes calling.

Anyone think Berba and Keane saw what was happening at Spurs over the summer and really didn't like what they had seen so made a big push to leave.

seems we have bought alot of players, good quality players at that, but not really built the right players to address the weaknesses from last year and we have weakened the strong point of our team over the last few years (although our hand was forced here)

We still dont have a left winger or a strong centre midfielder. We now have creativity in midfield but no real attacking prowess to make anything of the creativity.

We have great cross delivery from Bentley, Bale Ekotto and even Dos Santos. If we buy a striker who's a beast in the air, we will do well. Whatever striker we sign has to be at least good in the air, in addition to his other qualities, if the purchase of Bentley is to make sense.

Any decent player will look at the bigger picture, not just 2 games so that arguement is out of the window, BUT I can understand where DL's stance is regarding selling on value, and don't forget we've tried the experienced player "quick fix" before however we now need quality signed in the next week or this season is going down the pan. Young quality would obviously be fantastic, but a mix of old/young would be the best bet I feel.

We deffo need some new signings next week and I'm completely pissed of at Berbs attitude/demeanour that means he cannot play when he is needed most.

Who knows ? but we've definately got problems up front after years of having an embaressment of riches there.

I just need some class signings to cheer me up and give me hope because I feel so let down yet again.

It's so hard being a Tottenham fan

Not at all. They have screwed up our plans. They are a big reason for the bad start if not the major reason.
