Lucky to get away with 0-1 but in reality we needed to score to get to the final and that's still the case.

Are we going to play as bad in the the next leg, I fucking hope not

How is it we don't have any academy players that can be on our bench? A winger, an attacking midfielder, a second striker? Just anyone that can be on the bench that you can throw on in the last 10 mins when we have literally nobody else.

Poch got it so wrong in that first half especially. The 3 at the back with Wanyama and Eriksen in the middle against the false 9 and the midfield 3 absolutely killed us. De Jong, Schone and Van De Beek had sooooo much time.

Some people’s agendas regarding sissoko is boring. Funny when they melt when they get called a **** though ?

So incredibly disappointed again. Very little reaction to the defeat at the weekend.

Honestly, I got so fucking angry watching Wanyama stroll around like he was out for a Sunday morning walk that I thought a steward was gonna ask me to leave.

What is Poch's problem with Kyle Walker Peters? He put up with that shitshow from Trippier for 80 fucking minutes, who couldn't put a single cross in all night.

A bit more effort in the 2nd half but did we even create a single proper goal scoring chance all night? I can't think of one.

Thank God for Sissoko - should've started (obviously). Zero effort from Wanyama or Alli. If you can't get up for a Champions League semi-final at home, what's the fucking point?!?!

So blatantly obvious that we need major investment in the summer. Doubt whether it'll happen. Just hope that somehow we can limp over the finishing line and finish in the top 4.

Incredibly disappointed and angry.

In a way the pressure is off us now. All we can do is go to their place and win on away goals. Stranger things have happened, and with a fresh Son rearing to go we have more than a chance. What I will say is Tripps delivery was diabolical, Foyth showed more guile and intelligence in 15 minutes than he did all game. And as for Dele, if we had anyone to play instead of him, he shouldn't even be going on the plane to Amsterdam. Lucas, Mousa and Rose were brilliant, never stopped working.

I saw enough in the second half to say confidently we will beta then 2 1. So many opportunities where if we had son we would have caused them more trouble

If we had a decent striker we'd get a draw tonight I'm sure.

Just as I said in the first half they were just like Liverpool, and just like Liverpool they totally fade after 45.

Next week is doable with Sissoko and son, hopefully lamela as an option

Moura was shite. He's there to try and create something offensively, which he did not do even once. Runs with his head down and hopes for the best. A slightly faster Townsend.

what amazes me is his total lack of anticipation. doesn’t make runs, doesn’t look for the Llorente knock down. just completely thick.

God knows how we're still in this. How long have we had Llorente? Still no idea how to use him. Very disappointing
We know how to use him, we just don't have the tools to do it - well we have a few tools, but not the right kind ;)

Could have been alot worse. Why on earth did we go in with the 3 CB's?? The first half hour at Anfield alone was enough evidence no?

Moussa Sissoko though. Unbelievable.

The fact we're in a semi after groups and City game is unbelievable. Let's remember the start of this campaign and go over there and see what we can do.

for me only players who can take anything away from that are Danny, moussa possibly Hugo for the save and tony, eriksen and dele we’re absolutely woeful! Like real bad! Nando had a couple of flashes, all in all thugh it ain’t as bad as what it COULD have been after 40 mins, could easily of been 3 without anyone complaining. Next week with sonny back, and NOT FUCKING playing 5 at the back we have a chance, think we’ll need 3 at theirs because I can deffo see yhem
Scoring for sure! Anyways up the yids! Let’s keep the faith!

Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen on BT Sport:“We were under-par, we didn’t play our best at all. In the first 20 minutes, we were ball-watchers. We need to change it up a lot for the next game.

“We made them look a lot better. They are a good side, but we helped them along the way. It was our fault. We were better in the second half.

“At the start, the system didn’t matter. The change gave us a different way to press, to play more direct. But we were still far from where we know we can be.

“No one wanted to play the first half we did. Everyone knew we didn’t compete. We still lost, but we were better in the second half.

“We can’t keep talking about injured players. In a semi-final it doesn’t matter who plays, we have to step up. We’re lucky they hit the post and hopefully we can turns things around in Amsterdam.”

If there's a positive, it's that they didn't exactly play us off the park in the second half. In fact, with Sissoko on we won the midfield battle for much of the second period. Trouble was, we didn't create much.

Still, we're in this tie and there's all to play for!

Yep, his footballing instinct is woeful at times. He just doesn't have a picture in his head of what to do and where to be.

Yep, if Real Madrid can go there and win 2-1 then I think we can too. Only thing that worries me is that we have to start well as opposed to doing what we so commonly do in starting very poorly and conceding early.

Get the first goal and it's well and truly game on, we'll be incredibly dangerous to them with the ability to get more than one away goals.

Fully fit squad, we win that match and prob tie...!

It is what frustrates me the most, why do we always get such terrible luck.... terrible injuries, terrible draws, terrible decisions, then when we finally get a chance in something we have to play with a 1/2 fit squad against a team who gets a weekend off with no injuries. it just seems to be the Spurs luck... one day it will hopefully change.

This is what actually annoys me more, just a bit of luck once in a while would be nice in terms of injuries and allowing us to put out a fully fit team, I don't remember last time we managed that.

This is not over but we have to concentrate on Sat first, we must win and get top 4 sorted, then give it a real go next wed. They play Sun, we play Sat so have an extra day rest and we have to score first out there,

2-1 is enough to take us through!

I’m sorry, I appreciate we are missing some key players, but our creativity in the final third was abysmal.

Sissoko definitely made a difference in midfield, but Ajax knew how to ensure we had few to zero chances and so it proved.

Eriksen and Dele were poor this evening and Llorente alas proved he is a plan C.

Son back in the second leg is a massive plus, but Ajax are tactically very astute and we are going to have to create far more in the second leg than we did tonight.

Always an up hill struggle given our absentees, but still not good enough.
