I did like the moment when Davies hoofed it forward and way out and the commentator said. And that was ............ (pause) ............. behind for a goal kick.
He should have just called it, haha

It was so clear to see which team has had a long rest before the game.

Bullshit that the Dutch league were allowed to cancel all the games to help Ajax.

Our squad is completely fucked.

What today showed yet again this season is our inability to really create chance after chance. We have zero movement upfront when Kane and Son are missing and also have at time when both are playing.

It comes from the lack of threat at full backs and the fact that we don’t really have a player who dictates a game. Until we sort these problems out then we wil struggle to break teams down in my opinion.

It’s lucky the game ended today as the only team I saw scoring again was Ajax because we could have played another 90 and not scored.

Anyway, it’s not the worst result and we know what we need to do next week to get to the final!

Alli, Eriksen, Moura, Lloris, Trippier, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweireld all started today, the starting XI wasn’t exactly threadbare. They just played dismally.

Can’t win if you can’t score. Today’s the day no Son and no Kane at the same time fucked us

God knows how we're still in this. How long have we had Llorente? Still no idea how to use him. Very disappointing

We were minutes from going out in the group stages. We are the only team ever to have lost 2 group games and got to the semi final.

Theyve all said we wouldnt this and we wouldnt that.

But we have and we did.

I have some fucking belief.

We will.....

YIDS!!!!!
I know. Every time it looks like we’re finished in this competition we claw it back. We’re like a mountaineer with two broken legs that refuses to sit down and be buried in the snow

Considering the first half, how we still have a chance next week and how we made them look fairly average in that second half I'll take that really. Of course, just a shame we didn't get the one goal. Thought we were lacking too much beforehand, we just don't have the personal.

I don't know why Hoddle in the studio is so surprised. We're a tired team, littered with injuries to key personal with players coming in who aren't up to scratch.

There were players who were a little disappointing like Dele, Trippier and Eriksen but the start was down to the three at the back. Very hard for the players out there when the formation was just wrong and left them with very few options when they got on the ball. Certainly not the first time the football has drastically suffered with that setup.

I didn't expect much different to be fair, I said beforehand I'd hope we'd just have a chance in the second leg. For me, the biggest shame is just of course not having near the squad we'd like to have at this stage due to injures/suspensions.

SC needs more of this kind of sensible, balanced, constructive and well thought out criticism. You lot should pay attention.
I don't enjoy being negative, but no one can really tell me otherwise on any of those assessments, can they? Dele, like in the past month, looks completely out of it. They were running circles around Wanyama - thank god for Sissoko who saved him. Moura did not have one positive offensive action, really. Ran a bit but never threatened them, not even once. And Llorente, well, he's just what he is. Immobile and mostly there to try and head bolls down. Doesn't offer much more.

Amazing we are still in the tie after that first half performance. After that a 1 nil defeat doesnt feel so bad.

This squad has been pushed well beyond its limits. Just have to hope we can limp across the finish line.

I thought that some time back before Burnley was the start of the fatigue gaps in February.

Kane could make the bench for next week I believe, ten to go at one each there ,you never know ,pump a couple of high ones into the box,he would make a better fist of a half chance than Llorente does.

We get one goal at theirs and they’re in a real tricky situation to stick or twist.

Don’t kick the dog too hard tonight.

Bad night tonight. Not gonna curse. Not gonna insult. They all tried but werent good on the night. Tactics were poor playing with a back 3 but even Poch has an excuse there because Sissoko is coming back from injury and only he knew the risk to start him.

Only Sissoko, Rose, Wanyama and Llorente did what was needed tonight without excelling. Need more 2nd leg.

Sanchez basically baiting the ball at the nearest Spurs player to him all game was the most consistent thing about our play tonight
