Everyone seems keen for it to be postponed. My primary concern is that whilst we will have Romero/Dier/Son back and potentially a new signing, they (if you believe the rumour mill) seem to be keen to strengthen too. They'll also have AFCON players, Saka, ESR, Odegaard available. I'd rather play them this weekend, especially as we're still in the FA Cup and we still have more fixture congestion than them.

With dier out we can’t afford to play the same back 3 as we did against Chelsea, Rodon has to come in for Tanganga and shift Sanchez to the right, I like Japhet but he’s had 3 shocking games in a row and we can’t risk him having a 4th in such an important fixture.
Absolutely, but surely Dier will be back. If not, why not, is it a bad case of Covid?

Dier and Son out, Romero/Reggy doubts plus another covid case, I’d welcome the postponement at this point.

Sounds like no Dier, Romero, Son or Reguilon until after international Break. Deary me.

I'll say it again now Dier is out.. do not put Tanganga anywhere near the side with his current confidence. If anything just play a flat back four Emerson Sanchez Rodon Davies.

Based on his comments today I'm taking that as no players returning from injury until Feb (after the Jan int'l break). So Son, Dier, Romero and Reggie.

I just hope Sess is ready for Sunday, don't want more of Doherty at LWB.

I want the game to go ahead, we have home advantage, they played last night with ten players and they have no midfield

Conte’s said he’s not available due to a muscle injury, not sure if he’s picked that up since returning from covid (as rumoured) or if that was the problem all along but he’s unavailable for sure

Dier out makes me want to cry.

I'd honestly rather play Emerson RCB, Doherty RWB and drop tanganga tbh

I already said after Saints game we won't make top 4. Got lots of disagrees etc, each to their own, no problem with that.
But still feel the same, the transfer window so disappointing so far, the possible sale of Markanday. The only to be expected number of absences at this time of year, especially with Covid.
Don't even fancy us to beat a depleted Arsenal ATM

Agree.

Get it played.

Yes we are missing 2/3 player but on paper, we are still a lot stonger than them

We’re not winning this game on Sunday with that defence and no Son. Sorry, we’re just not. We lack creativity and defensive composure. Arsenal have been terrific in patches this season and if Saka, Tomiyasu and Smith Rowe are fit (they probably will be) and with the fluency that Martinelli and Odegard give them, I can’t see our thin, uninspiring midfield or shaky defence having much joy. I reckon comfortable 1-0 to them. Wouldn’t mind postponement.
