How will their first goal come about?

a) Saka dive and pen, followed by a limp naturally

b) Gabriel header from a corner with Big Vic bullied by Tossard

c) Shit shot by Martinelli going wide deflects in off Romero’s arse?
C. Absolutely nailed on. Likely after a spell where we’ve been absolutely dominant but done nothing in the final 3rd too

Massive news!
Yep. I’d like to see Richy as a starter and Son on left with Johnson on the right. Porro at RB; then Romero, Dragon & Vdv across the back. Sarr in mid alongside Madders &, yes, peh.
Edit

Vic
Porro Cuti Dragon VDV
Sarr PEH Madders
Johnson Richy Son

Given the latest news, I think we'll go:

Vic
Porro - Cuti - VDV - Davies
Sarr - Bents - Maddison
BJ - Richi - Sonny
Near to what I fancy. Arguably, vdv to mop up behind Davies. I’d actually go PEH instead of Bents; but I might be being too defensive minded .. actually looking forward to the game

I just want to see a front 3 of Son, Richarlison and Johnson. I think that is the way forward, we need Richarlison at set pieces and for his pressing.
Not wrong. And his physicality.. I’d hate to play against him .. he looks a royal pain up the arse kinda player

The emotion of us getting 4th and into the CL in no way compares to the emotion of watching Arsenal win the league, no comparison at all.

Agree with this.

But I also think we need to worry about ourselves, and not them.

Maybe they don’t win it this year because we lose to City but win it next year anyway.

Maybe they’ll win the Champions League next year.

We don’t really have any control over how good they become but we do have some control of how we develop. And wanting to win every match is better for us than worrying about what they do, I think.

I'd much rather have Bents than PEH, especially if we have a forward 3 of Son, Richarlison and BJ. None of those are great hold-up players. We'll need all the creativity we can get from our MF to find our forwards where they can do the most damage. Not sure what advantage we gain from PEH over Bents offensively or defensively.

I hear what you are saying, but football without rivalry is like food without salt!

Its about getting into the champions league mate not just getting 4th. Would you honestly want us to miss out on playing champions league football next year and all the money that comes with it which undoubtedly would enable us to improve our squad easier than if we didn't get in the competition just because you don't want Arsenal to win the league?
Yes I would give up the cL in a heartbeat. Just as happy with the EL this year as I think it enables us to play some younger players in the early rounds and we could actually win it.
