The amount of our players in " abit of a dip" is really quite concerning.

Bissouma
Kulusevski
Maddison
Bentancur
Son etc

Bentacur and Kulusevski had good games. Kulu especially lots of important work all over the place and unlucky not to earn a pen, he did tire later in the game but had put in a serious stint.

Result aside, i feel like that was a pretty even game. We obviously gifted them two goals from set pieces but they gifted us two goals as well. A draw would have been a fair result but sometimes things don't go your way, that Kulu penalty changed the game.

The thing is, even with the xg we can't blame anyone but Ange and our coaching staff. If they knew how to organize defensive set pieces/a defence we would have won the game. But they can't. So we are not unlucky. Its a symptom of something else.
You can have two thoughts in the head at once.

We were awful at set pieces.

Arsenal needed a large amount of luck to win the game.

That 2.73 will include the penalty and Romero’s goal which will account for about half of the total and were gifts.
And the hojberg own goal wasn't? And saka scoring off a pen not given wasn't a gift?

I don't understand how some fans can be so negative that they only see our flaws and not the oppositions...

So Maddison dives... and Kulu should have gone down the moment he was touched in the box... takes two more steps and goes down... had he gone down quicker, then we might have had a penalty.

I actually think Kulu had a pretty effective game today. Not right at his best but shoots there.

Overall, don’t disagree - but we are first season with a new coach and entirely new way of doing things. It will take time and, although frustrated at recent results, I’m still excited to see what the next couple of seasons will bring with more time learning a system

He made a point of showing he was adding time on when Arsenal were mincing about in injury time and added the grand total of about 5 seconds.
I'm absolutely fed up with these cowards.

They are scared stiff to penalise clubs that have a mouthpiece that will go on to criticise them.

They are also scared to effect the title race by not giving/giving decisions that will negatively effect these teams.

We saw it at the beginning of the season.

Liverpool go on a crusade about "if we lose out the title by 1 point" and these refs now don't want to be accused of losing a team the title so they back out of big calls.

Arsenal vs City. Countless fouls that would go punished for repetitive offences are ignored because refs don't want the aggro of potentially having to send a player off and then getting it in the neck from the team he just punished.

The PL is a dead league to me until they sort it out - which will likely not happen

Well, it obvious the deficiencies this team has. Address them next summer and we'll kick on. If not then it'll be another long season.

Much better second half. Nice to see there's still pride and fight in the squad. That bodes well.

On the balance of play, there’s no way we deserved to lose that. When you are so fucking dreadful time after time at the absolute basics of defending set pieces though, it’s hard to argue that we didn’t deserve to lose. Strange game.

Thought Kulu came back in and did really well. Maddison needs to sit the rest of the season out

Stunned how Oliver get these big games, just look at the Ben Davies pen where he needed VAR, he is 2 meters from it and looking strait at it. Then adding 6 min, when VAR takes 2 min, subs alone take 3 min and all the time they were on the ground.
Not his fault we lost, but he is shit
