Unfortunately he tried to stay on his feet, too honest for our own good.
Other sides get those given, we feel a double whammy of no penalty and they run up the other end and score...

How Oliver doesn't give the penalty in the second half straight away is beyond me too, 5 yards away looking straight at it as Rice boots Davies. Second penalty all season

I thought we played pretty well.

Set pieces cost us.

We were unfortunate overall, but we showed good fight to get back into it.

I love Micky and Romero.

Brillant.

We need a big attacking signing this summer though.
You still confident of 4th ? 😉

Told you this run in was going to be tricky/painful.

Realism not optimism.

That being said we played well in parts and got some bad officiating decisions.

Sort out of set piece defending and play well and we could pump
Chelsea.

Thought we were unlucky.

Not confident now, obviously.

Fail to beat Chelsea and its completely gone.

That one was soft and VAR checked it said it was minimal but yea another missed poor decision

One of those ones had they given it, it was a pen...that altered the thinking

I guarantee you had that been outside of the box it would of been a foul, and no Saka goal.

There were two crucial decisions...the VDV equaliser, and that.

Both went against us very unfairly and happened very close together.

Agree mate and both completely changed the momentum of the game.

Personally think had the VDV equaliser counted we'd of gone on to win the game

The stadium was eletric when he scored
Agree mate it felt incredible, then I turned to my old man and said ah but bet it was offside , every goal is these days and then it happened and our momentum was killed, fine margins.

I still don’t even think it was bloody offside.

Mabye Forest can tweet the PL to say the VAR was a gooner this week.

Fuck me, that referee really is poor. He gets more 'big' decisions wrong than any other current referee and he's been selected to officiate at the Euro's. There's an endorsement for the rest of them. He's 39 years old which means we have to put up with him for at least another six years. And on top of all that he's got an oily and very punchable face.

I'm not one for giving anyone a coating but he comes close to making me lose my veneer of respectable, handsome and well hung charm.

Just to say, why would he be standing a couple yards away, in full view of the challenge, and still need to look at a replay to decide if a penalty should be given.

I think it's totally about he was shit scared, let VAR make the decision and then I can go look in slo-mo to see it again.

That wanker is in no way, shape or form fit for purpose as a referee.
