For 2-1 that was quite emphatic. Son totally won the game for us. Sorry to say but the difference between Ndombele and LoCelso in midfield is chalk and cheese. Still not convinced with the 3 man midfield but it's a damn sight better with a proper grafter in there, than coasters like Dele or Tanguy.

Right then, beers it is. COYS.
We didn't play a three midfield though. We had a Skipp-PEH double pivot, with the three of Son - Ndombele/GLC - Moura in front of them. It was vastly better than the previous five games barring Man City. We competed throughout and mostly won the midfield battle.

Much better. We deserved the win. Impressed by Romero and Royal. Shame Moura can’t pass.

Much much better.

Balance felt like it was there. And I've said all along son and kane will make or break nuno. Sonny was right at it today. And we looked 10x better for it.

Shout out to romero who helped so much ensuring we don't sit back by pressing high and aggressively. I can see why he would shine in a back three with two behind him picking up scraps.

Lovely to be in a good mood on a sunday afternoon.

What?
I thought that, apart from the first 15 minutes or so, we played really well.
Could easily have scored a couple more and never really looked in danger, which considering how many set pieces they had, was superb. We usually look well dodgy defending set pieces.

Didn;t see any cohesive tactics.. . Our attacks seem to be give it to Son so he can run or cross it occaisonally .. it’s Nuno’s Wolves without the terror of Traore

Well, that was better. A few things to like there. Better formation and setup. 1) Romero (apart from his death lunge) finally lived up to his reputation. Hope that continues. There's absolutely no reason now to play Sanchez unless Romero is injured or fatigued.

2) Ndomissing did nothing. No surprise there. Kane looked off it until the 85th minute. Really needs to stop being so selfish. Twice he could have played in others for a much better chance on goal.

Son -- what can you say? We are the Son team, and his will to win and quality is likely the only thing that'll keep Nuno in a job beyond Xmas. Fantastic effort for him.
1) Really? He's only just fucking arrived!
2) Grow up with the childish fucking nicknames.

Lots of positives

- Deserved win vs a good team

- Sonny looking like his usual lively self

- Lots of chances created and that was because we had a real strategy going forward. Notice how we had 5 or 6 players attacking.

- Emerson. Thought he was very good and we are starting to see what he brings to the attack. I think his crossing and decision making is better than Aurier. He's also not rash.

- Conceding but responding. A team under huge pressure and low in confidence could have gone in to lose that.

- Ndombele and Lo Celso. Though he wasn't his typical self with the ball, Ndombele gave us a structure today and was everywhere. He'll play better but we need him to be in a structure first. Lo Celso came on and was heavily involved and we looked like we had an extra zip.

- That means we shouldnt see Dele stinking the place out much more.

- WH lost to a last minute goal
When Watkins equalized, I though we were fucked. The response from the team was immediate, purposeful, and showed no fear. For me the biggest takeaway from the match today.

Nuno played the obvious best team and the most logical formation and it was a good performance. My concerns are Ndombele’s fitness and Kane taking so long to find his sharpness, but overall very pleasing to watch.

Maybe part of the problem in the previous games has been that we have been too tactical. Sometimes it's good just to play football.

Better. Welcome return to form by PEH, I was wrong to say leave him out.

Son brilliant.

Dead worried by how thin the squad is though. Winks and Dele are effectively first change, and Kane has no change.

Coys

Agreed on the depth. It's clear as day that we need to retain a double pivot, preferably of Skipp-PEH. But when we need to rotate, we have no one of comparable quality to come in for them. If we could shift Dele and Winks in January and buy another DM, that would help. We're getting a box-to-box to compete with PEH in Sarr next year, but from Jan onwards, we really need another cromulent option there. Likewise with a backup striker, but we've know that for four hundred years.

Dier and Skipp are positions that still need uogrades

They're not good enough for a club with CL aspirations

Really? Skipp? Thought he has been good this season in his first proper season in the premiership and he is still very young going to be a great player for us imo
