I live 7 hours time difference to the UK and am not always able to watch games live. It is therefore VERY annoying that after watching the Spurs game and coming on here I have people telling me the scores from other games that I have not watched but may do later. This is the match thread and other teams results are irrelevant to comments about our game. They should be reserved for a thread in General Football.
It usually is, to be fair but today was understandable, with us winning and West Ham losing late on someone was bound to mention it. Excitement does that sometimes.

Other teams results aren't irrelevant though.
That's a bit of an odd thing to say, to be honest.

Watched it back 3 times now. Near post was the shot needed to score. Defenders throwing themselves on the ground in the box. I think he was looking for a pass. No other reason not to shoot to the near post imo
It was clearly a pass back to Kane

An okay performance yesterday.

It was good too see Nuno change the formation. To a 4231. The 433 was clearly not working. He could of easily stuck with it. I haven't been nunos biggest fan lately so well done for changing it. I think it was harsh to keep Lo celso on the bench after that performance in the week but I can live with NDomble starting , especially in the number 10 role. I did feel Nuno should of made the sub before the goal, he seemed like he didn't wanna change anything as there wasn't really too much he could do but I definitely think he should of brought NDombele off earlier for Lo celso. Villa were average, they started well but we soon came into the game and overall were the better side and should of won by more. It was nice to see us play some football again. When we played out from the back was lovely to see. One, two touch stuff.

The defence looked much more solid and I was never really worried of villa scoring, they had a few little chances but we were very solid and the players all seemed to know there job today which was nice. Romero looks good , apart from the goal , him , Dier and royal played well.

Royal again I havent been his biggest fan from what I had seen so far before this match but a much better game. I still am a bit worried about him on the ball at times , but he is strong in a challenge. Decent performance.

Can't really say too much else which hasn't been said. It was a good win against a average side today. Let's see what we will be like again against the better sides with this formation , I'm not getting carried away just yet after one win.

I'm outraged that Lucas's goal has been given as an 'oggie' to Targett. I've watched it over and over again, and Lucas DEFINITELY gets the final touch to the ball. Isn't there some sort of appeal process anywhere? It's bloody unfair. That was Lucas's goal despite what we're being told to the contrary.

A much better all round performance yesterday. We played with greater pace and aggression and it paid off for us. If we'd played with a fraction of that same pace and aggression at Arsenal, the result would have been very different!

Shame about the timing of the international break (AGAIN) but we need to bottle the energy and keep the team focus for our next game at Newcastle.

I have to say, I' feel a bit of man-love for Sonny right now. He's just sensational (or should that be SON-sational...)

Yeah there is.
If the player/club push for it it will be reviewed (e.g. remember when Kane pushed for it to ensure the Golden Boot a few seasons back).

Why do I keep hearing about Sarr? What makes anyone think he's coming? Sorry if I'm the only one missing this...
Well for a start you're missing the fact we signed him in the Summer, and loaned him back to Metz for a season.

I agree with Denver. Everybody on this forum - in fact the entire world - should put their entire lives on hold to accommodate for the time difference I exist in.

Thank you for your future cooperation.

Haha, sorry that was embarrassing, I could only think of Sarr from Watford and I even got his first name mixed up so, my bad. I do support spurs though, honest. Yes, I just forgot about `Pape` cos he hasn't played for us yet and he's still a kid.

Because we signed him.
We also have a pretty handy South Korean on the books who’s impressing a few people, and a striker we’ve developed quite well who Man City have shown some interest in ?

In fact, we should move the 0 time zone to America.

He's also absolute mustard - a taller N'golo Kante who can take a FK too!

Just rewatched it back. He gets the man first clearly from behind and doesn’t actually touch the ball. It was a bad tackle.
I just re watched it (not back) and he does not get the man clearly as you said. A good tackle in my opinion. If not clean, it still was not worthy of a yellow card.
