The bookies fancy Arsenal more to beat Fulham away than us to beat Bouremouth at home!

Incredible how shite our injury situation is.

Its incredibly pathetic to admit, but right now, given our situation, I’d be content with a point. Bournemouth are playing well. Full of confidence and don’t have an injury crisis. Plus they have two days extra rest, I think. If I were them, id be embarrassed to drop points against us. Especially if we are starting FBs at CB again, and the same lads who were leggy two days ago have somehow miraculously back to be being sharp and fit as a fiddle. The same set of guys who could have lost 6-0 to an injury plagued Brighton and it would have been a fair reflection of the game.

The Cherries are 100% favorites to win this on paper. I can only pray that maybe some tweaks and fresh legs, combined with some luck, a passionate home crowd, and a piss poor showing from Bournemouth help us get something out of this.

This has all the looks of a goal feast going either way. I fancy a 3-3 or 4-3 game which will be a great watch. So will probably be 1-0.

No way Id take a point mate.

We're still more than good enough to win this at home.....IF we're pretty clinical.

No doubt they'll score , so we must outscore them which we're more than capable of doing.

Very worried about this one tbh.

Andoni Iraola has turned Bournemouth into probably the best high-pressing side in the league. Normally this would suit us perfectly as at full strength we'd have Romero, Van De Ven and Bissouma to break through the press and spring counters.

Unfortunately though we are far from full strength and the crazy high-pressing on Davies, Royal and whoever's at 6 is 100% going to end up in some very dangerous turnovers and likely some goals. (Will never happen but would love to see Lo Celso in the 6, just to be able to break the press)

Also, Solanke is in red-hot form and particularly so with his heading, so I'm very worried about his mismatch in height with our 'centerbacks'.

Think we're going to need to score 3+ goals here in order to get a result.

Going to this one, should be a cracker, can’t call it either way.

I think the team will be:

Vicario

Porro
Emerson
Davies
Udogie

Skipp
Sarr
Lo Crlso

Johnson
Richy
Son

However after our terrible defensive display against Brighton, surely Phillips or Dorrington or go forbid Dier need a go instead of Emerson to mix it up a bit as not changing a back 4 at all when we could’ve let in a good 6,7 goals wouldn’t be great for morale of the other defenders or frankly fair on them, but I think Ange will stick with Emerson & Davies at CB in which case I hope we keep the ball far better with Skipp, Lo Celso & Sarr, otherwise Solanke will have a field day.

One more big push before the January break and hopefully fingers and toes crossed at least a new CB coming in.

Solanke is due to go back to being SoWanky soon (that’s what my Bournemouth Season ticket holder mate calls him ). Doing ok at the moment but normally misses most of his chances.

I hope not, but I think the two days extra rest and lack of real options off the bench will play into Bournemouth’s hands.

We looked leggy against Brighton and will almost certainly be the same tomorrow!
Unless Ange gambles and decides to freshen up with a couple of the youngsters. Yes they are in form but they are not a physical team and maybe not a bad game to gamble in.

do their wingers have pace? if they aren't too quick (please don't slaughter me) Dier wouldn't be the worst just for his height and heading ability. We will need it against Solanke, god it feels weird writing that lmao

I'm really hoping that Johnson signs off 2023 with a goal...or two.
God knows he deserves it!

Would be very interested to see if Ange tries one or more of the youngsters - probably his first time having such a demanding winter period (I know Scotland have the same but Celtic do not face such high quality opposition in each game) and I wonder if he had foreseen the need to rotate.

Would love to see Dorrington or Phillips play (let alone start). Would be good also for Veliz and Donley to get some good minutes (and maybe Falque too given our wingers have blown out after 60 mins recently)

Everything is against us today, still stripped bare of critical players, others playing out of position, a three day turnaround against five days for Bournemouth who are on a winning run with their main striker in a purple patch. The only thing going for the boys is us, we're at home so we need to get right behind them from the first minute to the last, we can't be spectators today we have to be part of the team, We have to give them noise noise and more noise.
COYS!
