We need a winger that can dribble past opponents

Same story for many, many years.

I can’t believe we are still winning this! Bournemouth have played some lovely stuff and we can’t play out from the back as they have our number. Sarr going off hasn’t helped but we were struggling way before he went off. Most we’ve been outplayed all season i’d say. Hopefully Bournemouth still forget their shooting boots in the second half.

Keep that up and we'll lose this nevermind hang on to the 3pts, very poor.

I cant take much more of that prick Ekoku on our games, had to mute the tv.

Just like Eveton...first 25 minutes on fire then completely ran out of legs...

Needed HT badly
I wonder if Ange is telling them to drop off and preserve their energy levels?

There shortly follows a 15 minute period of reflection where members can stick the knife into the scapegoat of choice
Because we go 1-0 up in most games, I think most match threads for months have followed the same pattern.

Euphoria
Hope
Frustration
Despair

then Euphoria or Anger depending on the outcome. It wouldn’t surprise me if some threads are just carbon copies of past games.

Why do we keep playing from the back in these conditions?
We are the ones creating chances for Bournemouth. How is Ange not seeing this? It's been like this since everton.

For all the talk about our patched up defence, they’ve kept us in this game.

Midfield 3 have been horrendous since Sarr went off; I don’t think it’s a stretch to say Bentancur has come back a little too early.

As for the front three…embarrassing.

I would say Richarlison has worked hard, created the error that lead to the goal. Johnston just hasn't done enough, and Son just looks poor again.

If anything I would say Son is the one needing to come off, gets to the edge of the box and then stops/slows down. First few minutes he did that when through and lost the chance that was then saved by keepers legs.

It's clear that the tactic to beat us is to literally get onto our players backs when we're playing out from the back. Too many of our players can't hold onto the ball or get it to a teammate when the game gets physical so we end up frantically losing it in dangerous positions again and again.

Will be amazed if we hold onto the lead here. It's all really really sloppy, half time badly needed
Yes... but everytime we get a chance to get some flow in our first 11 it gets ripped apart through injuries... and you can't expect Benta, Lo Celso, Skippy etc to dominate against a Bournemouth team in top form.... we have to battle and work our way back after Sarr's injury... Some of our other players looked knackered as well... I don't blame them.

Exactly. Ange alluded to this the other day when he said about how we play and what we ask of them.
This is a poor excuse in my opinion, If we had our first team, they would play every match, as we have no europe. some players out there have not played every week either and they still look leggy.

Skip looks bad, Emerson looks bad, Lo Celso is throwing the ball away, Jhonson looks bad all of them should have enough in the tank in my opinion.

Only one i can excuse for having a shit game is Son as he plays all the time.

But if Ange know it is tiredness, then atleast play with one more in the middle then to not get overrun? put Son and Richy up top.

How do we look so knackered? So far second best today - delighted to be winning at half time. A terrible combination of suddenly being unable to pass the ball and not having a single player who has the strength to hold the ball with his back to goal. If nothing changes they will take one of their many chances eventually. Come on Spurs

He's just not suited to play on the wing in this system. He scored for fun as a striker and need back there when Maddo returns.

He doesn't track back very good and struggle to beat defenders 1 v 1 so no idea why he's stuck out there.

He's good making runs in space and a very good finisher.
He should have a dynamic role with Richy. Swapping around as and when as both are decent strikers and neither are suited wide.

Johnson is having another poor game. But who comes on for him?

Shrugs.

THey all need a bit more service too. Which hasnt been in good supply post 20 mins.
