Yep and with Sonny off we will be toothless without a winger upgrade.

Kulu is good, Johnson is ok but beyond that right now we have nothing, can’t rest these 2 or have any options off the bench to change it up.

Richarlison has worked hard and its pointless saying it but thats where you miss Harry Kane holding the ball and being able to release the wingers into space.

Also showing how much we are missing Maddison, there is space to exploit in that Bournemouth defence, we just havent got a player making any splitting passes.

Bentancur doing well for a first start in ages but that midfield looks well short of legs with Sarr going off.

Bentancur you would think will be coming off around the 60 min mark so Hojberg will likely replace him. I could see Veliz get another chance for 20 mins or so.

We are without some important players but we look like a totally different side to the one who dominated teams at the start of the season and created countless chances. It can’t all be down to Maddison and Ven De Ven surely!

He's a squad player in the same way Wes Brown, Darren Fletcher, and Cleverly were for Fergie's United.

We need home grown and club trained options that are content to be that, and are happy to just play their part. They look worse when they are surrounded by other squad players but you hardly notice it when there is genuine quality around them.

Come on mate please don’t be disingenuous, Darren Fletcher was a very good player, and Cleverly was decent.

Skipp is horrible, Harry Winks is twice the player

Lack of good first touches in that team leads to this. Son is the best out of the three up top and is a fine finisher, so you can excuse his touch. The other two just offer nothing at all. Johnson is no better than the flurry of British wingers that came after Lennon and bale. No better than Redmond, Dan James etc except he cost a lot!

Son has been the worst of the front 3, had the best chance to score also. How can you excuse him for having another bad game?

Richardson has created the error for the goal and won/played the ball in for a few of our attacks. Can't say what Johnston or son really have done so far.

Shame Sarr got injured as first 15 it was working well.

They’re pressing us really well, we can’t get out and Richy can’t hold it up so the ball keeps coming back.

Need to figure it out a bit 2nd half and need the 2nd goal!

We will probably need to change up the front 3. I not sure if that’s Vilez on with Richy out wide of Gil. Neither is appealing but we will need fresh legs out wide eventually. I’m also worried about Porro and Udogie running out of steam.

Think Sonny central might help us with Gil on. Otherwise wouldn't mind seeing Veliz get another go after scoring last game. They look threatening but a 2nd goal and I think we get it done.

Back in August I/we thought this season is going to be an extra long 'pre-season', not expecting too much. As the campaign has progressed we had our hopes lifted and wondered what we could achieve. I'm now back at 'not expecting much, while still seeing the progress and heading in the right direction'. We just can't shake the injuries. Had we had a full compliment of players, we would probably be top. So this season is now - for me - pre-season again! Get to May, and get better quality in depth.

People need to remember that Bournemouth are high pressing, hard working, intense team. They’re also bang in form. We are lacking energy and numbers and have a team cobbled together with string and tape.

It was always going to be a rough ride while we get the injured players back into the team.

Exactly this. Bournemouth haven’t lost for nearly two months.

Meanwhile, we’ve got a really make-shift team out there: Davies and Royal at CB, Skipp, Lo Celso and a half fit Bentancur. None of these guys would be playing if we didn’t have so many injuries right now. Possibly Johnson wouldn’t be playing either if everyone’s fit.

We can’t expect it to be pretty, let alone expecting to dominate matches like we did when we had Romero, VDV, Maddison, Bissouma etc all available. We’ve got to be reasonable.
