I know a few people that went up to the game last night, and speaking to them today, they are all really down on it. Saying it was bad, no passing, no movement, sloppy defending.

I don’t know if there’s just a bad atmosphere in the stadium currently, but on tv, it looked very f-ing far from any of that!! I enjoyed the game, we pressed, we had intensity, snapped in to tackles, created some great attacking plays etc etc. we could have won by 4-0. So I’m confused with the negativity, we’re far from perfect, but I thought last night was very positive. Yeah, Liverpool probably will spank us, but they’re spanking everyone right now!! Jeez.

I was there and it was much less negative than other games recently. There was some negative stuff but much more in a joking, self-deprecating way than when it has been pretty vitriolic recently.

I was surprised to come on here and see lots of negativity. We completely controlled the game, they had no real chances, and we could have scored a few more. Brentford aren't a bad team, and didn't have a sniff yesterday. That's the best I think we've played since about the beginning of last season.

I was at the game and really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was a bit quiet but I put that down to it being brentford plus a bit of supporter uncertainty (i.e. Mura result). Did have some loud moments though

As I've already posted the negativity of our fans in the stadium often appals me and got me into plenty of rows
Honestly don't value the judgment of the negative Normans and Nancies one iota
To me when you're at the stadium, you have one job, that's to support the team. It certainly isn't to demoralize them
By all means analyze and criticise on social media, even then I never like to call any of our players **** etc

That performance was about as good as I could have expected from that team.
We created several good chances so were good value for our two goals and gave Brentford nothing so were good for the clean sheet.
And noone had what I would call a bad game.

I actually enjoyed watching it despite the occasional frustration.

In terms of improvement I think Sanchez stands out defensively, Moura's end product still frustrates me, and PEH's contribution from a non-defensive standpoint is still in question but all three still give 100% so I can live with it.

But our bench looks very empty of players who can improve that starting eleven.

The atmosphere at the moment is not necessarily either good or bad, it is what I'd call fragile.

I watched on TV and it seemed the crowd was supportive most of the time.
Within reason it is up to the individual as to how they respond to what is happening on the pitch. That said I am a Spurs supporter and generally I am supportive during a match. Currently Conte is trying to improve a very poor team and seems to have improved some aspects of our play but realistically it will take time to achieve a level we all hope for (Rome, built, etc.) Getting on the back of player having a bad patch doesn't seem to me to be a supportive action nor does it increase the confidence of players. In fact it creates problems unsettling players. When someone screws up I talk to my mates, when they do well I'm noisy.

I think the problem for Royal is that he's linked up with Lucas and Sanchez and they don't have the same working relationship that Regulion, Davies and Son have on the left.

I wonder if we swap Sanchez for Japhet if it will help

Brentford made some tactical subs which troubled us for a while so Conte made the change, Winks for Lucas to counter and it worked, I think that's why it looked so much better.
Basically I dont think Lucas or sanchez are good enough which is why we look poor down the right side of the pitch.

Lucas is such a likeable person and player, but man does he frustrate the hell out of me.

He is just as unpredictable to us as to the opponent. I've really wanted him to excel and he's given us some unforgettable moments, but he should be one of the first players that we'd look to improve upon imo.
Yes, he needs to be replaced by a creative No 10 as a like fir like Ericksen replacement .

I dont get the negativity. That was maybe the best team effort Ive seen in 2 years. We've got a long way to go but that was good!

How can this possibly be "a very poor team" when they are so well placed in the PL ? It is clear to me Conte is having a positive affect on the squad and we are improving game by game WHEN we play our best players. If this is a very poor team what does it make the other 13 or so teams below us ?
