I can make an argument for Docherty but Winks and Sissoko getting starts over Lo Celso boggles my mind.

Sissoko has done a very good job this season imo.
All of our good performances this season iirc have had sissoko and PEH as the base in midfield.
GLC is undoubtably a better footballer than sissoko but sissoko does a lot of the hard work and adds a physical presence in midfield than GLC doesn’t

I think what Lo Celso adds in terms of ball retention, passing, creativity and goal threat more than make up for that little bit of extra physicality that Sissoko gives us. He's also not shy defensively and isn't afraid to get stuck in when he needs to.

Look at Chelsea yesterday - they played Mount as a CM alongside Kante against a big, physical Burnley side. Yet because Mount is comfortable on the ball and good technically, it didn't matter that he wasn't physical. They dominated the ball, kept Burnley at arms length and controlled the game in a way that we were never able to do because we tried to match them physically instead. If Chelsea had played Sissoko in there you can practically guarantee a lot of their passing moves would've broken down and suddenly Burnley would've been putting pressure on them and getting confidence just like they did against us.

Mourinho's done a good job in a lot of ways but when we have someone as talented as Lo Celso at our disposal I think we're missing a trick by playing Sissoko ahead of him.

Apparently no Vinicius, Bergwijn, Serge or Sanchez either. Expecting same team as Burnley bar the possibility of Reguilon in for Davies. Lucas & Sissoko are certainties unfortunately.
If Davies starts over Reguilon against a team like Brighton a small part of me will die.

Last 7 months for Dele at the club. If he won't make a transfer in January that is.
