Could someone clarify please as I thought it was a very soft penalty, to me it looked to me like Welbeck stood on VDVs foot first?

Was a pen. Wellbeck played the game, knew he couldn’t score, drew the tackle, felt the touch and went down.

We’ve had three chances to do the same and not taken them.

Well Son is possibly the best finisher in premiership history (one of the best certainly ) so he is obviously better at finishing than Richy however Richarlison has done well I think and fully deserves to be our centre forward. Son is much better from the left.

I'm not sure Sonny would have done any better with the chances that Richy has had anyway, he'd just be getting knocked off the ball left, right and centre.
Richy has done well so far, in my opinion and he's been on such a streak he deserves his spot up top.

If Bissouma's got the legs, I'd put him in for Bentancur to add some urgency in MF and to cover the spaces for their counters. See how we go and then a Sonny sub later if needed.

Can't blame bentancur and Maddison for being off it. Will take bentancur the rest of this season to get back to where he was

But they are though when it comes to fitness, you can see Bentancur uses 1 seccond more than usuall to move and make descisions, Maddison is also a bit slow, and in this system with such a high line, you need everyone fireing or they will pass through you fast.

You need to be like Liverpool when playing this type of footbal, everyone needs to be on crack and not leave 1 second of space to turn!

Such a frustrating half. Easily the better team but behind thanks to a stupid pair of mistakes again. Shooting ourselves in the foot as per.

Couple that with incredibly wasteful play in the final 3rd. We should have 2 or 3.

All that said, I wouldn’t be shocked to see us scoring a few second half and winning this. I’d get Biss and Son on now personally. Then get Johnson on about 65 mins.

Something has happend from the first 9 games, we are not pressing the same way, far from it. We do not look like a fit team. You can see Bentancur and Madison have been away, they are far from match fit.

Same as last week, Everton ran rings around us and looked ready to fight, we are sloppy and lethargic

Rhythm and timing.

Takes a while to instill that and we had the same 11 pretty much week in week out.

Need to past away the doubt and sharpen up the Split second decisions.

That goes for pressing and passing.

It really has been since the Chelsea. Suspensions and injuries galore ever after. It's like a mini preseason again for the midfield.
