Being fully aware that Chelsea represents a difficult test and equally being confident facing anybody with practically our best XI available (subject to Udogie's fitness) isn't mutually exclusive.

Bring on these tests I say!

My thoughts, FWIW:
1) The Chavs will have to score 3 times to beat us. Can't see that happening.
2) To be honest, I'm more worried about the Villa game than this one.

I don't think it matters what our mindset is. Ange has already changed the team's mindset, and that's all that counts. We can be as lily-livered as we want.
It will matter what the crowd are like though. We'll obviously be well up for this one so atmosphere should be great. Hopefully we get more patient as a fan base under Ange. Not start to sigh and groan when we're still chasing a goal and things arent coming off. Keep the mood positive until the end. We've already scored a few late goals this season. I've been to only the Sheff Utd game so far and it was tense as the game went on. It only got great when the goals went in and then was totally transformed into a party atmosphere. It still feels we are largely cautious with our enthusiasm.

When it comes to the stadium, I disagree. Crowd continuing to be behind them when we were losing to Sheffield United helped a great deal. If we're losing, things aren't coming off and the players aren't at it, the negativity from the crowd can seep onto the pitch.

The crowd has the ability to pick the players up in those situations and help get them through.

YOU'RE SPURS AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE

Really going to be a test on Monday but him talking about us did make me remember how good those years were. There should be a rule from now on that we have to appoint rotund managers from countries beginning and ending with A.

It's funny that every time I've seen a thumbnail of a video of Poch recently on Youtube he's looked utterly miserable and I just saw one where he's talking about Spurs and he has a massive smile on his face.

Watching the press conference, it coudn't be more obvious that Poch is basically a fan. Etched into every line of his face.

"Hur dur, it's still 2003 innit. Free Point Lane hur dur."

That's essentially the sum total of about 80% of all UK football punditry.

Still nervous AF, mind.

I'm not confident. I'm just not scared for once.
This sums it up. If we play to the best we have at points this season we should get the result. There are no guarantees though and they'll be right up for it IMO.

I will not be watching it from behind the sofa for the first time in a long while though.

They’ve created a lot of chances in most of their matches this season and kept a lot of possession but they’ve struggled to finish their chances, they look a side which is up and down in confidence and doesn’t fully know it’s identity and they are vulnerable at the back.

I think it’ll be a reasonably cagey 1st 20 mins and then it’ll depend on who gets the first goal.

If it’s us and with the crowd behind us I can see us going on to win say 2-0 or 3-1, if they get the first goal we could be in for a tricky game as they keep the ball quite well.

They also seem to be a bit better away from home this season where the pressure is off them a little bit.

Im not scared like I usually am about Chelsea but as always it’s a HUGE game and with our near full strength side we should be too strong for them hopefully.

Will be interesting playing a team that will attack us. Feels like we've only played three teams (UTD, Liverpool, and Arse) that made a concerted effort to attack. Oh, there was Burnley - and that didn't work out so good for them.

I don't think this is a strong defensive Chelsea team. And definitely not one that knows how to sit and protect a lead... yet.

They will press and will be good at it. They have a ton of talent in that squad. Just a question of when they mesh.

This could end up being a relatively high-scoring game: 2-2, 3-3, 4-2. None of those scorelines would surprise me.

Funny enough, I think this is the perfect game for BJ. As his pace is lethal on the break. But I doubt Ange will start him. As they are wisely managing his re-integration. But if the game is level at 60 mins or even if we're winning - he's ideal to bring on.

I have a feeling we will win comfortably.

Chelsea will attack and they create good chances in their games but there is not one particular player who puts fear in opposition. I think they might have more of the ball early but we will pick them off and go a couple of goals ahead in the first half.

I'd be more nervous If this game came before the Arsenal and Liverpool games but as we've had 2 tough tests already I'm quite calm and optimistic we can beat them.

I'm going 2-0 or 3-1. It will certainly not be an easy game but I'm confident with a hostile home atmosphere we can make the game horrible for them.
