That was an exhausting game.

Boys did well to hold out as long as they did but the dam was always gong to burst.

Great start. Shot ourselves in the foot about 3 times. Paid the price.

Vicario is fantastic.

Innit 🤣 tapping the badge like “trust me guys I’m brilliant really” *when I play against 9 men and get an open goal… twat lol
His legs turned to jelly when there was a keeper in front of him (when he was offside). Then skied another one. Really doesn't look like a natural striker.

It’s the Van de Ven injury that will actually be the biggest set back from this, without his pace the high line is suicidal, Dier is more than capable of standing in for Romero as long as VDV was there.

I love Ange's style of football, but playing like that with 9 men is just stupid, think we all can agree on that. Even with 10 it is naive
I’ve never seen a team set up like that before with 9/10 men. Why invite pressure by just sitting back. We still
Looked like scoring on numerous occasions because of the high line

Fuck the score, what concerns me is if we are going to play on the halfway line every game with no Romero and VDV
This was the first 'if we play this way we'll get beaten eventually' game and we'd have learned a lot from it. This was a huge lesson and one that I think will make us, not break us.

We may not have seen the pretty side of Ange's style of football tonight, but we did see the spirit at the foundation and boy, was that something to behold.

Not only that, but the players having the belief to keep playing Ange's style of football under those conditions, shows what faith they have in the manager.

My team.

How about 1-1 parking the bus? Because that was our only chance for a draw.
Probably don't speak for only myself when I saw I'd be happy to see us never, ever play for a draw, no matter how dire the situation. I don't watch football for that.

The injuries and bans hurt. The fact that we did it to ourselves hurts. But the strength and togetherness shown (and with the crowd) must count for something, and should make us stronger.

So a back 4 of Porro, Dier, Hojbjerg and Emerson against Wolves.
Wolves and at least one if not two games after, depending on how long Romero gets suspended for. VDV I very much doubt will be back any time soon.

We really need a quality CB that will force Romero to think about his actions. If he thought there was a player that was going to come in and take his spot, he would think before making those stupid unnecessary mistakes.
If he doesn’t know how, he never will. It’s just who he is

Would you be saying that if Dier’s goal had stood, or Bentancur connected with his chance? It’s not like we didn’t have a hope of scoring with the system we played - we very very nearly did. There were a couple of sucker punches at the end but what we did tonight was ‘to dare is to do.’ It was brave. After 3-1 we probably should’ve shut up shop though.

If it was isolated I would agree, its a thing tho, these mad moments. He has been an awful lot better this season, but where there is little thinking time he makes the wrong decisions.
Yeah I'm judging him solely on today's performance. It's a derby.... one we all wanted to win... same applies to the players. I get fans views feelings and emotions after this loss.... ibdont think it was a rash challenge I've seen worse. Anyway it's done he's gone for 3 games...but I get his full on commitment in every tackle in a derby.

We play. 11 men or 9, it makes no difference. To dare is to do.

If there were any doubts whatsoever what Ange Postecoglou is all about, I think it's clear now.

and everyone single of one those players are on-board with it.

There are so many characters in this team now. The balls and the fight they’ve got are incredible. A lifetime away from feeling completely detached from the team just a few months ago.
