Overall, proud of the players out there in the end. In terms of the tactics once we'd gone to nine, really not too sure what to make of it. On one hand, it could easily have been 2-2 with no doubt praise for sticking to our guns and it definitely made it entertaining although the underlying feeling it was a matter of time always being there. On the other hand, can say it is just naive. Chelsea don't look a team in full flow and not too sure of themselves due to the up and down results they've been getting with some poor performances this season and not too sure they were fully able to exploit the situation.

If it was City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle or a Villa tonight and we stuck to our guns with 9, do wonder if we would have had the same approach as for me, it would likely be horrific.

Luckily missed the game but please tell me you’re joking about VDV being out for two months?!? If we can get any kind of results in the next few games with Romero, VDV and Udogie out then we truly do have the greatest coach ever. They have been vital to the way we’ve been playing lately.
Nobody actually knows how long he will be out for until tests are done.

Fingers crossed that's all it is, but it shows how Ange was thinking clearly among the chaos in that he was aware that subbing VDV, and then potentially Maddison a couple of minutes later would have cost us a sub slot for later in the game so did them both together

I really think we should not underestimate the professionalism of Dier, Højbjerg and even Skipp. These guys have not been playing, getting loads of stick but delivered when called on. That takes great professionalism and mental discipline.
Well done boys
Can't argue with that. I groaned when Dier came on but he played to his strengths and defended extremely well. Very unlucky not to get that goal too. I still don't think he has a future with us, but am less concerned about him doing a job for us on a temp basis until we can get another quick CB in in January.

We have to challenge the Red Card. I don't even think its a foul. Get got all of the ball and his follow through hit the defender coming in. I wouldn't be suprised if it get rescinded and Romero is good to go against wolves.
However, he was lucky to be on the pitch after lashing out with his leg.
But very proud of the boys - they kept going and never gave up.

Our spine is a major strength and it has just been ripped apart. We just have to hope we can ride out the next few games until we can get our players back. Hopefully, Maddison is not out for a long time. Vdv will be a major loss. That pace is so vital.
I do appreciate the argument that people are making about what could have been had we not gone with the high line still.

However, to dare is to do was well and truly coursing through the club tonight.
I think this sort of to dare is to do is not going to win many league trophies, sadly. Particularly when the likes of City are so pragmatic. Even against pool with 9 their low block was much harder to break down than our high line.

I don't personally care. I value the experience more than trophies, so I love that we go out to play and score. Others will no doubt disagree here though.

Our football in the first 20 was scintillating by the way and I thought we'd win by 3 or 4 when son scored the offside goal. Discipline and game management cost us today.

Ange looks very pissed off. Those eyes could burn a whole n someone’s skull. But still very professional

We gave Jackson a hat-trick with a ridiculously high line
with only 9 men and a notoriously slow centre half.
Even Vicario's heroics could not prevent a thrashing.
Plenty of spirit but no brains tonight
and that includes the Manager.
Hope the injuries are not as bad as they looked.
Well the season has been fun but we could be in trouble now
for a few games without Romero. VDV and possibly Maddison.
I repeat 'what a fucking mess' and all so avoidable.

Zero chance of it being overturned

Huge respect to Ange. That’s how all managers should be. Intelligent and respectful. Brilliant from him and proud of our efforts.

If ever a score lied surely tonight was it. So proud of the lads. At points when we went 2-1 down youd think Chelsea were the team defending for their lives. Fuck chelsea and their billion pound team. And well done to anyone that was there. The crowd were amazing.

In these situations its so easy to make some people wrong, so that you can be right.

But, everyone is doing what they can for us fans.
Every player tried (some times too much) to win your affections.
We will learn as a squad and grow and evolve.

This result needed to happen in our development.
Ange has a whole host of areas to zoom in on.
And Levy needs to support him.

Weird game. Hard to be upset with the players. Yeah, Romero and Udogie had brain farts. But they'll learn. (hopefully).

Far more concerning with VDV and Madders.

This is one of those games you look back on at the end of the season and reference it as 'turning point'.

Need to win at Wolves, as we will likely lose at least two of the three after w/o Romero and VDV for two of those games.

I can't think of a more Spurs like shit show. Everything that could go wrong, did. This was more than a loss, this could end up being the game that buggered our chances at a top 4 finish.
