It was a farce. They didn't even announce they were reviewing it until 2-3 minutes after the event.
The whole thing needs rethinking.
Something definitely needs doing, but as a match going fan, my preference would be to bin off everything except the goal line tech. What we gain, isn't worth what is lost.

Viccario was Motm. Not Jackson who was 5 yards 0ffside for his second, and nearly fell over for his 3rd.
Dier was immense. Yes he's not first choice, but what a warrior to have in the squad. Same for Hojbjerg.

Couldn’t disagree with you here. As the years have gone on since its introduction VAR is somehow worse.
To be fair, the match going fan has been fairly unimportant to the PL for quite some time, so it's not hugely surprising.
IMO Micky makes Romero a far better player. Romero was a shambles next to Dier last year, he needs someone with pace covering his marauding runs because he's yet to show the discipline to say that he won't take unreasonable risks (even in our risk-taking system). It has helped to have VDV covering him, and vice versa. I would have taken a long Romero absence over a long VDV one all day long.
