It's interesting to see that Tim Vickery's opinions/misgivings re: Royal, which I reported here before we signed him and which were summarily dismissed by many, have turned out to be pretty damn accurate.

Yup, and yet the Stats Wankers (some of the most annoying wankers in footballdom) will use numbers to 'prove' he's an elite player. Same with GLC/Ndombele et al. This is why I give little credence to stats beyond obvious assists/goals/cleansheets because one only has to use their damned eyes to see how poor these players are. No amount of flashy graphic showing a player's xPotentialInterstitialProgressiveReballs will convince me these are good players.

it’s totally inexcusable that Adama Traore is still a Wolve player. Conte has made it very clear he wants & needs him, Wolves has made their price very clear. So why is he not a Spurs player yet?? To be fair they have hardly broken into a sweat in a game and a half and are popping it around us with ease, we are just nowhere near good enough and full of bang average players.

This is true it's just frustrating they're winning by default rather than actually putting well worked goals past us.

As turgid as the entire team had been, i really feel this is another game where tactically it’s all wrong. Obviously it’s always going to be hard when we have so many average players especially in our back line, but I still feel we have made exactly the same mistakes we did last week.

Exactly. Weaken the CM by playing poor CBs, lacking our best CM this season and keeper. Is almost sabotage.
