Everton come of 4 straight wins, their confidence is high, so we need another performance like against Newcastle to get the 3 points.
Royal has tough boots to fill instead of Udogie who is suspended.
Or we could play Dier and Davies at LB but I think the Ange will pick the latter.
The way Bissouma has played lately, PEH is a better bet, even though Bissouma is suspended.

Don't we have a great record defending at set pieces? Something has to give. Key will be to keep the pressure high and give away as few set pieces as possible. Richarlison will also be important to help defending them. Should still have too much for them the other end.

They're on a real bounce since their points deduction. Going to be a tough game I think. As has been pointed out already, set pieces are an area of concern with their size and physicality. Think we can get at their back line though if we can get the slick passing going.

Also Everton has a game tomorrow, which may be a bit to our advatange. But true, set pieces will be a huge risk on this one.

Dont disagree, buy if we play with good attacking tempo we should could cause their big, cumbersome defense even more problems.

They are in superb form right now so this is going to be a very tricky game. They will try to bully us all over the pitch and they will be very dangerous on set pieces. Hopefully we get a competent ref who can keep a handle on it. Having said all that, we SHOULD have enough to get a few goals against them, if we can start in our usual positive fashion and get an early goal or two then it should be grand.

Hopefully Johnson is fit - I am more worried about that position than the CM issue.

I'm fairly confident he will be ok for the match - it was a nasty cut but it can be protected while he plays. If it had been a concussion that would have been a different story but thankfully it doesnt appear to have been.

Just dislike Skipp starting. I think PEH is pissed off as a sub but will be happier starting. Means Sarr and Kulu can push on. I also think I'd be happier with Dier than Emerson.

To help counter any aerial threat , perhaps we should go back to the Poch era and bring Eric 6ft 2 in as a defensive midfielder, he regularly partnered Demebele or Wanyama in those days.
