It's amazing to me how everyone is just glossing over our current injury and suspension list.

If that was Arsenal today without Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Rice,, and Odegaard they would be widely praised for such a big result with a depleted squad. Take van Dijk, Konate, Szoboszlai off Liverpool and see how they do.

Our injury problem is so understated.
They wouldn't notice as badly as we do due to our lack of talent in squad depth.

think that many are quite conservative in their outlook and this is alien to them.

I completely agree. I think many pundits adopt this kind of world-weary, been-there, seen- that attitude to the game. It sometimes reminds me of the old guy in the bar who thinks he knows it all.

The fact is many of these pundits have themselves either not coached a top level team or have tried and failed at it. So whilst they may have privileged insights from their experience as players, they don’t necessarily have any special insight when it comes to managing a top team. Then also the game has moved on since a lot of them played anyway.

Personally I think a lot of the football writers speak more sense. They’re definitely more interesting and use less cliches.

I’ve read Dyche’s comments and they are fucking stupid. Of course VAR is re-refing the games, it’s the whole point. They re looked and it’s a clear foul on Royal.

Not sure why Sky have a headline like it was controversial. It’s obvious
It's also missing the point that VAR affects refs decisions purely by existing. Refs are inclined to let a decision go in the knowledge the VAR will review it. We've heard this where the audio is played and you can hear the ref telling the VAR to look at something he has let go. If the VAR didn't exist, it's highly likely the refs wouldn't take the risk and would just blow for the foul.

Here’s a slightly different view than usual for me at yesterday’s game, less stairs for me to climb (dodgy leg at the mo) my mate kindly switcherooing his seat with my ST.

He didn't have Sarr and Bissouma in his first 28 prem games, when he took us from 10th to 4th - and he had Romero out injured for the first 3 months. He had Deki and Bentancur from February. And in his second season he had Loris, Emerson, Doherty, Tanganga, Dier, Romero, Sanchez, Lenglet and Davies to make a defence out of. Oh and Perisic scored against Southampton in Contes last game - but don't let the facts get in the way.
coy-spurs1882 & dontcallme - my post contained only facts - so what is it you 'disagree' with exactly?

True, but we've had our fair share the other way round
And it's incredible how little of a shit any other fans give about us "deserving to win" compared with how they whine about when we win in fortunate circumstances. Take what we can and be grateful I say, we can't dominate every minute of every game FFS!

I dont really understand why people become so upset or concerned about what is being not said or said by pundits or MOTD. Why give a toss, none of it will gain or lose us points?
The whole 'the world is not being fair to us..' is so silly.
