I've never seen a player drop so precipitously in quality after an injury as Maddison has

Porros lack of attacking influence on games has gone down hill massively as well.

he’s not been poor, just not making things happen like he was earlier in the season.

it’s actually a bit worrying that we seemed to have regressed as the seasons gone on.
It seems like it’s the directive from the manager to get in those areas and constantly look to work it wide to Johnson and/or recycle possession in the opposition third as opposed to making penetrative runs or taking pop shots

Our brains in the final third are non-existent. Our only tactic seems to be pass to Werner and hope he fizzes one across the box.

Biss/Werner playing alright. Full backs guff. Sarr, Johnson, Son, Maddison completely peripheral. Brennan bless him has hit the keeper twice in two games from a combined three yards.

It's not that bad but the goal is soft again and they've had a great 2nd part of the 1st half. Yet we've also hit the post and Johnson came close but for a great save. We should be doing better of course but not sure why we overreact so much. Need another big 2nd half display and we have quality on the bench. I would bring on Bentancur soon as we've lost our way playing out and he's the one who calms it all down. After his display in the week I'm surprised he didn't start.

only method of attack is get it wide and hope the low cross misses everyone, including our non-existent centre forward, for the other winger to tap in.

it's so predictable.

We're a bit sh** really aren't we. As I always say, it is a work in progress etc. And I believe that. We are marginally better than last year, just. But boy, are we boring and predictable to watch. We never control games, even against teams we should. We are mentally weak. (and lets be honest, we always have been as long as I've supported us since the late 70's. It's not a recent thing). I don't know what the answer is. The only common denominator throughout that period is the fans.

And what's happened to Ange's style of football? Have the players stopped listening? We know it's not a tactical change as our mate is not for changing. We have - fit - the same players that were playing it so well early on.

Worrying how poor we are tbh. We can’t control games, have a distinct lack of quality and can’t defend at all

Horrendous last 20 mins for Bissouma.

I'd be tempted to pull him off HT.

I'm actually pining for Hoijberg for a few games
Same could be said of most of the team.

If I could I would haul off everybody except Son Vicario Romero & VDV.

It's getting a tad boring for my liking

This is going to sound controversial but it's not meant to be. I'm getting bored of the same goal being scored. I've never remembered our avenues to goal to be so so repetitive even during the dark days
I was thinkng that earlier. Unless we hit quick on the break its always the same avenues of attack, in relying on a low cross from Timo or Brennan. Very predictable.

I think Udogie has got too much hype and it’s got to his head. Ange needs to get his feet back on the ground

Such a bizarre team. Bossing the game, pressing well, passing well, shooting from distance (!). Concede one chance and turn to jelly.

Bissouma really hasn't been great, Sarr a bit off, and Maddison could either stick it in the top corner from 30 yards or punch the Ref. Not sure which yet.

Werner really the only one who looks as though he wants to make something happen, even if it's only a one in three chance of it coming off.

The defence is a bigger problem. How are we this open with Vicario, Romero, VDV and Udogie at the back?

He is, but that's also down to lack of movement by the front 3!

Werner is so good at that ball in across the 6 yard line, we need to do that more. Son has gone missing as the striker too much again, keep seeing him back in midfield or on the wing, one point I think Sarr was up top!
It's not just on the front three. He likes to turn back the way the ball comes and play things back into the congested areas. He likes to take 3-4 touches when sometimes two is all that are needed.

Son is dropping deep a lot, but some of our better moments have come from him dropping and turning. It's frustrating because we could do with seeing him stay in the middle a bit more.

Was it like this at Celtic? It's like playing fifa or pro evo
