I didn’t insinuate anything, I said Bisoumma started well and helped the team control the opening period and had a big part in the first goal and if he he got worse as the the half went on you could say it was similar to the game Hojbjerg had, although I actually thought he made more mistakes on the ball. A bit of consistency in criticism is all I’m saying.

PEH influenced our tempo and intensity way more than Bissouma did.

I mean, fuck me....we're talking night and day stuff here.

Table looks very healthy at the moment but if we keep playing like that it will look very different in a months time, apart from the first 15 first half and first 20 second half we were very average against a very ordinary Forest,a good team would have buried them at 3-1.

PEH and Bentancur completely changed that

I thought PEH was really good when he came on, like you say he changed the game. It's a shame he kept giving the ball away when we started to wind down though, not the first time he's been guilty of that.

Just home from the game. Much better second half and the half time subs made an immediate impact. At this stage of the season we’ll take the three points and move on to Newcastle. It’s in our hands now. COYS

Yeah, blotted his copy book....but he was very good before the sloppiness set in.

Problem I have is that no player is playing themselves as indispensable in the middle. They all seem to be shit and then come on subsequently and do a bit more. Everyone lauding Bentancur and Hojbjerg and next week they will be shit and Sarr and Biss will be ok. Need some stability. I thought Lo Celso played well in his cameo over Maddison......

We just need some players to get in form in the middle.
Lo Celso seemed a bit more authorative on the pitch than Maddison and is better in the tackle. He probably deserves a start but i think Ange is looking for a bit of consistency in the lineup.
Maddison and Son at the start of the season were almost telepathic but that has dissappeared to a large extent.

Big part of first goal is basically him making a 5 yard straight pass...

Bissouma slowed up the game, didnt do quick passes, offered not much for ball when Romero was looking for options, lacking awareness as usual when opponents were attacking... and once Forest scored, he completely lost control of midfield against a relegation threatened side at home.

Bissouma as usual been Casual on ball and casual off ball. Great decision to sub him off at HT. Time is running out for him. Our starting XI & squad can do better than him
Won the ball first then part of a quick passing sequence where he moved it quickly out to the left. Don’t think it was a five yard straight pass though have to watch it again.

people getting influenced about the flow of the game by Mickey smashing one in. thats what changed the game really. It opened up after that. Think Bentancur for Sarr helped as well.

a big issue in the first half were the fans getting on the players back after we conceded. The players lost confidence on the ball from then

Really? He gave the ball away 4/5 times , three of those in dangerous areas. If that was Bisoumma he’d be getting absolute pelters for that half imo.
Somehow this post got 17 agrees, but you made up the 4/5, he gave the ball away twice in quick succession when Forest pressed us. Yeah those moments aren’t great but bissouma was poor at everything else and Pierre overall made us better. You also cant count difficult forward passes as giving the ball away otherwise you could say everyone was shit.

Dont agree. We started the first half very well, better than we started the second. Fast into tackles. One touch passing, getting into good positions. After we conceded the fans got tetchy and the players started losing confidence on the ball. The difference in the second half is we got the third quickly after the second to kill the game. If you watch it back the general play in that second half wasn’t as good as the first twenty minutes of the first half and the last twenty minutes of the game was really quite sloppy

Just got home, quite an odd atmosphere in the South Lower today.

Lots of groaning and complaining all game, maybe people on the lash for too long?

Subs changed the game and Bentancur starting to really look back to himself, which bodes well. Gio had another good if short outing and I’d really like to see him get more minutes.

Either the shape doesn’t work or the players aren’t good enough , unless we press with intensity all over the pitch we look totally vulnerable as soon as we lose the ball . Having 2 centre backs and one holding player without the willingness to follow runners on the counter then all u see is a gaping holes all over the pitch .The goals we concede are almost always because we haven’t followed the runners and players are left with time and space to score . Luton , wolves. Brentford , today are recent examples as well as the corner that led to West Ham’s goal. This is why the summer is so key cos either Ange is not great or half the team isn’t great . I can’t accept it’s a fitness issue on the basis we’ve had pretty much 1 game a week all season and plenty of breaks .

As for as Bissouma being part of goal 1 - yes he was part of it like saying its bare minimum. Goal did not happen because of his contribution.

Fans getting on players back is a consequence of our midfielders loosing the midfield to Forest at home.

VDV & Porro goal came because we progressed the ball better and kept the pressure. We didnt concede the midfield in 2nd half.

Nope, that just isnt the case.

The passing in the middle of the pitch was much, much better in the second half

We were ok in the first 20 minutes, it was a laboured control.

We were the better team, we scored 3 goals, we won again to make it 7 points in 3 over a week. Still a work in progress, we all know that yet we still don't show it during games. We're progressing incredibly well and pretty much secured top 5.

I think our left side is weak defensively (VDV excluded) Werner, Maddison and Udogie are poor in positioning and in the tackle.

The midfield functioned better because we switched to a double pivot of Hojbjerg and Bentancaur at HT.

I don't think Biss was that bad I just think that when Udogie, Maddison and Sarr all bomb up the pitch there is too much space for teams to counter into.

Anyone else think Forest should be higher in the table than they are? Wood, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi, Elanga - that's a decent attack with the right coaching. Shame for them they've got Nuno.

I respect your opinion mate but just don’t agree. Thought it was fairly sloppy the last 25 minutes of the second half just as it was in the first. I get it, but the goals are clouding the way it’s viewed

Really thought PEH showed true class today and was instrumental in the win. Also had a cracker of a shot from 25 yards that almost sneaked in.

Great halftime sub, Ange.

Not clouding anything with me.

Youre entitled to your opinion, but none of the people around me at the game would agree with you either.

There's a reason why we made the changes in the first place. We werent good.

Are we contractually obliged to attack the Kop in the second half? Seems like it’s every single week.
