Some interesting points, IMO GED-F was brill, his energy and desire was exactly what we have missed, may not be the finished article but huge improvement on the French clown. I still don't know what Sess is, I don't believe he does! He is supposed to be a bright talent but did little against a very poor side who he should be tearing apart. PEH dovetailed in bringing an outlet always making himself available - great. Youngsters show promise but still early days apart from Clarke who I thought was not at the races. A big disappointment was the number of real chances created, still being content on waiting for things to happen rather than making things happen. Lucas prime example lots of effort running around ever decreasing circles before disappearing up his own jacksy. Still overall some positives to build on but still lots of work in progress.

Such was your rush to cuss Aurier you couldn't even be bothered to get his nationality correct .

Ah, so local to you? I think his neck of the woods is still technically Medway. I'm sure I saw him play when he was 7-8 years old.

Yeah, I’m in Rainham. He’s from Cuxton/Snodland I believe. I don’t know his family, but I know some people that do. Harry Binks was from Rainham, so I was gutted to see him leave us.

I think Scott Parker was from Maidstone area, I definitely played against him as a kid over in Maidstone. We had Lee Hales in our team (son of Charlton legend Derek) and they both got scouted and went to Charlton together.

Yeah he's from around that way. I think the village are quite thrilled about it as even my mum has brought him up. Her and my brother know some know some of his family. It's a small place.

Clarke giving it away again. He’s really out of his depth it’s obvious to see. Needs a loan with reg game time
Looked far more dangerous in attack than Lucas did, and put in by far our best two crosses of the match. A few mistakes but also played with his head up, usually made the right call between giving it or running with the ball, and worked his arse off protecting Gedson.

I have talked to family members at a match in the past and my impressions are they are very good people and Harvey White is also a good Lad who is a intelligent player, he just needs to get bigger and stronger and this might take a bit of time because White is not what you would call a big Lad for a LCM.

Very different players but yea definitely his direct running and the balls he put in were very promising. Looks a real talent I just can't see him getting much gametime so think another loan where he gets reg gametime would be best then hopefully next season he can join the squad.

We will see what Jose thinks, mabye he will think he's ready who knows

I didn’t think he was a bad as some did, that’s for sure. He definitely improved as the game went on. Not sure his two crosses were by far the best in the match though, but they were good.

It’s about doing what’s best for his development. Would he be better off training with better players for a year, getting chances in the league off the bench and starting 4/5 cup matches v weaker opposition, or playing every match for a side in a worse league, where he’d have worse coaches, no internationals to learn from and shoddy facilities/ sports science compared to at Hotspur way.

He has to play, but constant game time isn’t necessarily better than tailored game time. It’s no have time that’s the issue (see KWP).

Maybe not the first, though I don’t remember the better cross from another player, but certainly the second. Kane or Son instead of Scarlett and I reckon that’s a goal. And that’s the thing that needs to be remembered, during the season if Clarke plays it’ll be with top premier league footballers, not other youths or lower league players. It makes a difference.

I agree it would probably have been a goal with a more experienced striker. And it was a great cross.
I think Gedson’s cross to Son in the first half was better than both, but it’s each to their own. Just thought they weren’t by far the best crosses in match and played down some of the other great contributions we had.

I forgot about Gedsons, but yes his was very good too. I just feel that while the technique of his is more impressive, those are also harder to score from than a fizzed ball from close range.

True, but it’s always easier to score from a cross that finds it’s man than one that doesn’t :sneaky:
But I’m joking, they were all good crosses, and we probably should have scored from them all. Bit further into the season and I think we’d score more of those than we don’t. It’s just nice to see good crosses going into the box as much as anything.

I still think that despite appearing quite poor technically, Sessegnon had a good game. He was always looking for space and made his way in field to be right up alongside the front man or beyond when he saw a chance.
