This is a potentially very dangerous fixture for us. They press ruthlessly and Bamford is excellent. Overall we have better players, but if we approach the game as we did against Leicester, sitting back passively and continually surrendering possession, we will lose this game. They have the weapons to really hurt us.

A lot of the so called lesser sides have improved this season and really give it a go, yes we are the better side but that will count for nothing if we don't apply ourselves.

.... on a positive note we’ll return to 3rd if we do win; then Newcastle need to beat Leicester, and Chelski draw with Man City ?

I don't blame you mate, after the Wolves game I said to myself that the Fulham game would be the one that determines whether I continue bothering to watch us play as if we did what we did against Wolves at home to Fulham too then that would leave me done.

With lockdown though I just don't have anything else to do. If it's midway through and we're playing like absolute crap and losing I can probably quite easily switch over, but initially I'm not sure I could do other things around the house knowing the game is on. If I could go out and do things it's a different story.

This is exactly how I have felt every game since lockdown. Today could be like sticking needles in my eyes. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us get spanked, I really wouldn’t.:(

Won't be easy as they will come at us. Do we go for it or play the negative counter attacking shit? I think I know the answer.

Score draw.

I wouldn't be surprised either. Feel like it will be one extreme or the other in the sense that either they'll teach us a 'footballing lesson' or we'll make them look naive and rip them open.

i think that would be 5 or 6 without a win if that happens. Jose will find himself under pressure soon to change the tactics - but we know he’s too stubborn and how it will end

Luckily for us lately nobody apart from utd are in any sort of form and yet despite us being fairly shit are still in touching distance.
Jose and the team need to get their act together starting today and I think they will.

Seeing as we're facing off against Marco Bielsa, it makes sense to do this match thread thank you in...

Yes, you've guessed it:

Scottish Gaelic!

So:

Mòran taing airson an t-snàithlean deasbaid geama, @Bulletspur

Scottish Gaelic is the native language of the Gaels of Scotland. Scottish Gaelic is considered by many linguists to be a separate language to Irish Gaelic (which is commonly referred to as "Irish", rather "Irish Gaelic"). The defining factor that makes linguists feel Irish and Gaelic are different languages rather than dialects of the same language is that a Scottish Gaelic speaker and an Irish speaker would not be able to understand each other.

Gaelic is believed to have come to Scotland around the 4th or 5th century with Irish settlers landing on the west coast of Scotland, and adding the region to the Dál Riata (a Gaelic kingdom established in the north-east of Ireland). Gaelic slowly but surely began to spread throughout Scotland and by the 9th century, it had replaced Pictish as the native language of Scotland.

As a result of the francisation and anglicisation of the royal courts of Scotland, Gaelic began to decline over the following centuries; by the 14th century, Scots (called at the time, rather ironically from today's perspective, as "Inglis") had replaced Gaelic as the language of government and law in Scotland.

So, in the words of William Wallace, (who history has shown was a massive Tottenham Hotspur fan):

Come on you Spurs!

Today I'm expecting us to lose with Mourinho blaming the late cancellation of the Fulham game, which obviously completely messed up the training routine and sleep cycle of all the players leading up to this game

If it's true, the club should through the book at them all. Plus Lanzini played last night

Hopefully! Wonder if Lanzini tested negative then? Or if now half west ham and Everton could now be infected

Put Ndombele in my fantasy team even though he won't get 90 minutes, we should match up well against them if we don't park the bus after 1-0.

One things for sure, they will press us for 90 minutes. Even if 2-0 up they will keep going. They look a bit like peak Poch Spurs with less quality from what I've seen. This feels like one where we either pick them off and win comfortably or retreat into our shells and get battered 1-4
