With no Reguilon, hopefully Davies and Doherty can play to revert to the plans behind the rationale for signing Doherty in the first place.

@Bulletspur - Thanks as always for the thread start.

Just want to win. So much depends on this contest as the first half of the season arrives.

We've had the sloppies and the stupids, no more unforced and unwanted fucks up required.

Henderson and Matip back for them, Reguilon and potentially Davies out for us. Not ideal news on the eve of the game.

Massive blow with Reg being out, he provides so much width down that side & provides an outlet, next few weeks without him will be tough

Was very optimistic about this game prior to Reguilon’s injury.

Don’t see us winning anymore if Davies can’t play.

An attacking set piece aside Tanganga was poor at fullback against Wycombe and I would not like to expect to see him start at LB coming off a match he was hauled off at halftime.

Serge should play RB and shut down Mane like in the reverse fixture. Trying Doherty at LB (where he had played in the last international break for Ireland) seems most logical but isn’t too encouraging against the league’s best RW.

As we've all decided we will lose tomorrow, what's the point watching. As we have nothing to lose, we might as well get positive, send positive vibes and feel the win. Lets all want it to happen, it just might. If we all believe a win for us can happen whilst watching it will be appreciated.

Reggie being out is a bit of a blow but he didn’t play against them last time and we didn’t do too badly until injury time :( also, Ndombele didn’t play in the last fixture either.

This really feels like the game that will set off the rest of the season. If the boys win I could genuinely see this squad doing something good, this season.

I hope the pattern of recent encounters is not repeated here.

we sit back- inevitably, but as some have already smartly pointed out, players like Dier, Sissoko and Winks (hopefully not selected) shit themselves in the face of their high press and we end up conceding dangerous turnovers, resulting in lots of shots on our goal and equally importantly set pieces, of which at least one will go in.

without their best defender, they will give up the odd chance to Son and Kane and if they have their shooting boots on we might well find a way.

itll be fascinating to see Stevie v the highly slappable Robertson, and the head to head between Tanguy and Thiago- unless Jose throws a curve ball with his selection.

Why we worried about Regi when Ndombele is going to body their entire midfield. We just need the clinical finishing, but I hope the boys smell blood in the water tonight. COYS
