I think we could lose by a lot and that'll be difficult to handle. Everyone wont be fine with it and the response to it would matter a lot. I understand the manager's plan and to proceed with the style regardless of opposition. I support that. That plan and front foot approach can win in general, but isnt at the moment for several reasons.

I think he's well aware that the honeymoon and new manager bounce is over. If we lose 5 or 6 on the trot, he'll know he needs a turnaround. A shellacking here followed by 2 more defeats will have an negative impact.

My concern about the 'free hit' mentality is that it's been telegraphed too much. We have flaky players and they are unreliable and dont need an invitation to not take responsibility in the set piece defending, 1 v 1 duels, concentration, organisation etc. I didnt really enjoy getting tonked 4-1 at home to Chelsea despite the 'feel good' bullshit that surrounded that game.

That's a bizarre call from the ref, and literally the only thing I can think happened is that he put the whistle in his mouth to blow for the initial foul before Haaland got up properly, started to blow it and made a noise but then stopped himself as Haaland got up, but realised he'd already made some kind of whistle and felt obliged then to halt play.

Fortunately all that happened was that he saved Grealish from looking silly as Ben Davies outpaced him and nicked it off his toe whilst giving him a wedgie.
