Bergwijns finishing lets him down imo when he was through he should have put that over the keeper but lost his composure.
I was talking about Lucas not Bergwijn? But apart from that miss he was on it and played really well. Be patient with him. His confidence is growing. It'll come.

Can't believe the stupidity of the post match interview, who keeps asking questions to Sonny about Kane. Ask about the game, how well we won, how we whipped City's ass etc. Fuck Off

I think that was the type of performance that any fan would want to see from their team.

We worked so hard as a team. When we were under pressure in the first half we dealt with everything calmly. Our young players didn’t look overawed at all.

We lacked a bit of quality but I just loved that performance.

I was the only one of my mates at the pub who predicted a Spurs win.

It really does show what a manager with great man management and interpersonal skills can do.
All these players have great talent.
They just need a good coach to bring out the best in them...and give them a clear vision of how to play.
Nuno seems to be that guy.
It's early days but ley's hope you're right.

At this point, I think I’ll be disappointed if Kane doesn’t leave.

If he stays, it’s clear we’re going to have an ongoing soap opera in which he tries to win the fans, the players and the manager back round. Only for everyone to suspect he will once again push for a move next summer or in January.

If he goes, we’ve got that team we saw today, with Ndombele, Sessegnon, Rodon, Gil and Romero still to come in, and ~£150m to spend in a depressed market.

Nuno’s clearly got huge potential here. He’s had barely any time with many of these players, and had the Kane saga going on in the background, and still managed to do a job on the PL champions in his first match.

BTW - I stayed out of the thread during the game - but how about the supporters in the stadium? They were every bit as on top of their game as the players. Brilliant atmosphere, with a few cheeky songs thrown in.

I loved when Tanganga came out, and had to walk past the south stand and hearing them sing his name to "He's one of our own"

I think he might get sold mate before he comes good although his work rate like the team was excellent.

Got emotional at the end! All the rubbish with Kane and our team has shown him and city up for the soulless people they are! Coys!!!

Lucas Moura were sensational but not a bad performance in there from anyone.

Also so much credit to Nuno, he switched skipp and Hojbjerg which was subtle yet very effective

COYS!!!

If you're Bernardo Silva, doesn't that performance make you take notice that you might be a great fit at Spurs? You'd think Mendes and Nuno could potentially convince him how central he'd be to a very aggressive, talented Spurs side.

Watched that in a pub filled with contractors who are working on the new nuclear power station.

All pissed, me too, but fought my corner all afternoon after being told how shite we are and how many goals we'd lose by.

Note to contractors:

Feck off and get me some electric. Man can't live on candles alone.

Four candles.

Exactly. Jokers.

Not read any comments on here yet, so sorry if I'm repeating you all.

I just feel proud. Really proud. Every single player did everything they could for the badge. We were aggressive in the tackle and gave them nothing.

I also loved how after going 1-0 up we continued to attack to get another.

We won't win them all and will lose some. But if our players give that effort every week then I can't ask for more.

Get in!!
