“Oh, Ange Postecoglou.” I was there and it took me 20 minutes to work it out!
Nah not that one, it was like one of those ongoing songs that doesn't stop for like 10 minutes straight, unless it was united singing? I only thought it was us because i'm sure it was going on when Utd were 2-0 down..

(Apologies my sausage fingers put this in the PEH thread! Only had two neck oils for crying out loud!)

Making my way back from the game (just about: GWR decided to cancel the 8.30 Exeter now going to Bristol instead, cheeky but who cares: I cannot even get angry over that absolutely buzzing) and then I'll get home at some time in the early hours.

I will take a huge train delay and cancellation for that performance vs Man Utd!

So impressed with Sarr and Biss. VDV looked nervy early on but grew into the game. Vicario was very good as well.

I found Sonny and Madders linked up well especially in the second half and frustrated for Richie as a few did fall his way (we need another striker no matter what).

Also got to add that Udogie drifted at the edge of the Utd’s D on a number of occasions like Emerson vs Brentford: I love that switcheroo from Ange, throws the oppo

I’ve also got to say that atmosphere exceeded expectations: needs to be done every home game. The return of the drum was great and was thinking with the acoustics at the ground this should’ve been reintroduced sooner, also a nice touch with the trumpet beforehand prompting glory glory Tottenham Hotspur.

These are the vibes we’ve all been waiting for and this style of football especially. We are in for an emotional season and rediscovery as a collective positive voice in that stadium at long last!

Train delay, cancellation and potentially struggling to get home with maybe hours to go tomorrow morning before my shift. I love this club!

Smashing win. Gives Ange a platform now so we can avoid any nonsense.

Udogie is a nailed on PL star. He's like having a young Walker at full back.

Inverted wingers wasn't working at all in the first half. Constantly slowing our momentum. Much better 2nd half.

Goalscoring likely to be an issue. I wouldn't look to displace Richarlison, but we need another #9 to compete with him. Son doesn't seem like hed be effective in there either.

And weird things today were the fans throwing that rubbish or whatever it was on the pitch?? And you lot having the match discussion in this fixture from last April??

United had the better xg
Don’t think Rashfords early header got called for offside (would have on VAR) so it likely counts towards xg and the Fernandes chance was massive. I’m not surpriser by the xg stats but we played incredibly well and 100% deserved the win.

We're going to give those sort of chances away, especially this early in our development. The way he was playing today Vicario would have saved them both anyway had they been on target. ✋⚽🤚

just goes to show what bollocks xg really is!

THANK you!

It's complete horseshit. It doesn't take into account the player ability and worst of all it's subjective and therefore should not be classified as a 'stat'. I don't need some computer nerd telling me what is or isn't a good chance, I'm watching the game I can decide for myself thank you very much. XG needs to fuck off.

It was nothing major ….

- Felt like it was clear he could have committed to coming out and collecting ball comfortably on that occasion where he was indecisive and ended up having to make a save

- wasn’t confident of his reading of where his crossbar was and tipped a looping ball behind for a corner when it was clearly going over

just two small signs of some jangling nerves that completely disappeared after that first acrobatic save off the header which pumped him up and got his blood going. He was instinctual and natural after that.
Thought he was outstanding

Apologies to those who answered my original post, it was a Ange Postecolgu song, thought you guys meant the other one, not heard this one, my little brother who went to the game confirmed it 👍😂
