He's a good left back but he's feeling the effects of a long hard season.

It's been Rose's fitness that's been the issue. Time to replace him.

Yeah I don't like to get on his case because he has improved a lot and I never would have thought we'd have a practically a whole campaign with him as our left back. I just still feel he's a bit basic, does everything to a good standard, but also doesn't excel in anything.

That's true, but you've gotta be putting it into a good area if you are deciding to cross. I think even when he's not crossing from a bit deeper and the box is a bit more full he ends up hitting the first man a lot.
It really helped pulling Dele deeper in the last 15 minutes.

WTF was that all about

I should just cut and paste after every cup defeat be it League Cup, FA Cup or Europa Cup. In order to becoming a winning club a team actually has to win trophies. In order to become a winning manager a manager actually has to win trophies.

Taking the League Cup or Europa Cup seriously in recent years when they were there to be won could and should have been the platform for this team to win a trophy.

Man United are a winning club. Mourinho has installed that winning attitude again although the style is not to fans liking. Van Gaal got them back to winning ways after Moyes won nothing.

Moyes has never won a trophy and probably never will now. Pochettino has to win a trophy or he will be in the Moyes category of a manager who does okay, but failed to take the next step. He has been a very good manager for us, but to take his reign to the next level Pochettino has to win a trophy and keep us in the top four.

I think we will limp into the top four, but third is there if the attitude is right. However, this season will end in misery as one of Man United or Chelsea win another FA Cup and Arsenal win the Europa and send Wenger off with another trophy.

Like the rest of you it's picking yourself up off the floor each & everytime that is gut wrenching. 8 semi-finals & not one win is stat so laughable it's food & drink to other teams so the abuse is easy to supply. No matter what boss it seems the same result. The day we have a mentality to handle and win these situations is the day I know we've finally turned a corner but it just seems endlessly elusive.

Manure were hardly anything special and when it comes to playing football well they trade this for winning complete lack of ideas 2nd half from us hardly helped. They along with the other usual suspects will only get stronger next year for us please scramble over the line for 4th. If you're a top player don't you want a career littered with trophies at the end of it all? That's where you consider your offers on the table just make sure you don't sell to rivals. Levy at least managed this with Bale...right time to get smashed & think how do you solve a problem called Spurs

It is about cash.
Anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

Not today.

Would more cash have made our boys play better.

Would we have a £70million striker sitting on the bench?

Utd brought on Rashford , Darmian and someone else but still beat us.

Pogba and especially Sanchez showed up is the only arguable point here.

But we had Kane (in some way?) Eriksen, Dele, Son, Dier, Jan, Dembele (who was been hailed as the best player in the league a month or so ago). They were or should have been more than good enough to beat an average Utd team today

It can always get worse... the Gooners could win the Europa League and we could collapse in the league with hangover to let the Chavs in... if that happens there will need to child locks on the kitchen knife drawer...

You don't need all the money in the world to win the FA or League Cup.
Once in a blue moon a team without cash wins it, go check the history.

Bottom line is money buys you experienced players that have won stuff. And thats what you need to win trophies.

We wont win stuff until we change the wage structure for our best players.

Oh my days. Our players getting called shitheads. Dembele shouldn't get new contract blah blah blah.

First up...I feel it. Hate it when we lose. Heightened when a semi-final of FA cup...however. Calling our players shitheads IMO is in no way required. Poor performance or not.

Which brings me nicely to Dembele's performance. Yep can't deny he wasn't his best today...but some of the knee jerk.

I've read numerous posts from people stating what a big loss he'd be if he left, how unique he is, what an excellent player he is etc, etc.

One poor game, which may I add, happens...and nope, he's got to go, he's shit.

Voice of reason...nope. General observation.

My concern with this defeat is the fact the players will feel fact aren’t good to win anything at Spurs without a singing injection from Levy. Maybe I am being a bit knee jerk but this result is the most annoying for the season for me.

Poch has shown that him alone is not enough. I have supported Levy’s spending model for so many years, but I think it is becoming clear that in order to stay at the level we are at we have to be spending. Otherwise I think we will drop down to 6-8th while we get used to the new stadium.

We are not too good for a League Cup, let alone and FA Cup.

I think if we finish empty handed next season then we will face an exodus of players and it will be horrendous to watch. Sadly I can see it happening though. This summer is probably the biggest one we have had in decades.

I think your being hopeful by next summer, I think we will lose some this summer. The Walker trophies this year will have turned a few of our players heads, I can see Dier going along with Toby, Rose, Dembele. I think Harry will give us another year.

Eriksen and Alli I am unsure on, whether they will commit or not, big few weeks with contract talks before the world cup, but if I am honest, I couldn't blame them if they left.

This is a huge summer for Levy but for me I am not expecting anything. I didn't believe any of the shit spouted in January about we have lined up big deals in summer etc and I still don't now

Nearly men as always and see this squad falling apart now, all because Levy again did not back his manager and get some serious leaders in this squad, instead we are full of kids and bottlejobs

The supply into Kane was horrendous today - that’s not about money because we have the players - it’s about formations and tactics - we look like we have been found out going forward and Poch really needs to accept this and make the necessary adjustments in order to make us an attacking force again

I'm not so sure if we missed him today (We conceded 4 against Chelsea last year). I thought Sanchez and Vertonghen were pretty solid. What let us down was - once again - losing the ball in vulnerable positions and this happened a lot with Toby in the team.

Yes he is an outstanding player but I don't think he'd have made a difference, especially since we were incredibly toothless once United scored. It's simply down to mentality and in-game management. Poch needs to figure it out and fast!
He's a leader though, and he's won trophies.

We looked like we couldn’t care less after going 2-1 down.
Why not go for it? I’d rather lose 4-1 chasing the game than lose 2-1 meekly accepting it.
We showed no urgency whatsoever.
Really really disappointing attitude displayed today. Worrying actually.
It is all about Utd then parking the bus and us then not having a fucking clue how to break down teams that do it well
