We have had some great chances but choked to many times. Its not always about cash. This season our name should have been on the FA cup but we jsut can't seem to get over the line. IMO we have the better squad out of all the 4 that were left.
It is about cash.
Anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

I think the main problem has been fitness, rather than bottle/talent/or whatever. For whatever reason certain components of the team are in really poor condition, its been building up in certain individuals for a while now, and we've got to this point...... But Poch has just decided to be ultra safe and try to plough through it in the last few weeks and hope it works out leading up to the biggest game we had left. Well its not worked, being able to muster 20 mins of gusto is never going to be enough to win football matches.

I say it after most of these tough losses, but the guy has got to learn and be a bit more ruthless at times - even if that means making tough controversial decisions.

Can I just say people calling for Hugo over Vorm after the stick he has received on here in recent games is beyond fucking ironic.

We looked like we couldn’t care less after going 2-1 down.
Why not go for it? I’d rather lose 4-1 chasing the game than lose 2-1 meekly accepting it.
We showed no urgency whatsoever.
Really really disappointing attitude displayed today. Worrying actually.

I thought he was decent at the start of the season. Certainly gone backwards. To be fair to the full backs it is difficult to pick out the only player in the who is marked and hardly moving to get space.

That's true, but you've gotta be putting it into a good area if you are deciding to cross. I think even when he's not crossing from a bit deeper and the box is a bit more full he ends up hitting the first man a lot.

disappointed in the second half.
i do feel like there is a little bit of luck that never seems to go our way in these games....
against Juve Kane's header for eg and today,
one slip from MD and they get in, Dier's shot flicks the post and goes out....small margins unfortunately

Maybe if we played with more intelligence the luck would go our way, wtf are we doing condensing the play in the centre of the pitch when we needed to go wide. Really poor appreciation of the situation and what we needed to do.

No, this was bad.

No excuses here. Maybe when we blew up at Chelsea in the Leicester title season, you could blame inexperience but this is a seasoned team now, that should be winning big win or go home matches.

Er I agree, but I wasn’t replying to a post about today’s loss, but one suggesting we’re in for a difficult summer.

We’ve had those summers for the last decade. We do well, got even closer in recent years but we’re still nearly men who’s better players will continually be linked away ( and often leave) because we simply don’t win trophies.

This summer will be no different unfortunately.

A lot of people saying make a statement signing.....START BY SIGNING TOBY TO A NEW CONTRACT.

GET IT DONE LEVY.......simple as
I'm not so sure if we missed him today (We conceded 4 against Chelsea last year). I thought Sanchez and Vertonghen were pretty solid. What let us down was - once again - losing the ball in vulnerable positions and this happened a lot with Toby in the team.

Yes he is an outstanding player but I don't think he'd have made a difference, especially since we were incredibly toothless once United scored. It's simply down to mentality and in-game management. Poch needs to figure it out and fast!

what if you never gave Hugo stick and you call for him over Vorm? Why the fuck is Vorm starting this game? Hugo is hands down a better keeper and this was a really really important game.

The harsh reality to me is that Poch is currently seen as an aspiring young manager but in 20 years time he will be regarded as someone who never quite made it to the top level....this is as far as he and the team go....almost but not quite....now another is needed to pick up the baton and run with it. I really don't wish to sound defeatist just realistic....

If Vorm was good enough to get us this far you're suggesting he isn't good enough for a semi final?
