Porro is a huge miss. Suddenly I'm thinking we need to spend a decent amount on similar/like-minded backups for our FBs this summer.

Ange has been found out it seems, and he needs to change his tactics or find another plan as this is not good enough... we should have 9 from these 3 games and at present we are on course for 4....
not good enough at all and he needs to find a way

We also need a striker and wide men who take on their men. The ones we have are fine if a team comes out to play, but as soon as a team sits back. We hardly look to break the lines, take on a man or make a few quick passes to create the space.

Maddison Jogging, Bentancur walking around, noone is doing fast sprints to be ready to get the ball in midfield, everyone just standing waiting for the pass, and when it finaly comes they are on their heels and a pallace player is comfetably in their back.

This is very worrying with 2 weeks to prepare, the players should be more on the over exited stage than this slow crap. Ange needs to come up with some threats and screaming to wake this bunch up.

He is picking names in midfield (his dream midfield from what he said a couple months bac) but they are not fireing

We've gone from being one of the most dangerous teams to play against to being the most predictable. Dont know how thats happened.

In the game early on away at palace: Romero and Van De Ven were passing between themselves a ridiculous amount to bait Palace up the field and move them out of position. We dont even do that anymore, just happy for them to camp in their defensive third whilst we pass it out to the wing then pass it back to the middle, doing nothing.

We are going to have to find an answer to this because teams are just going to keep on setting up the same way against us.

Too narrow, too slow; more tempo on the ball and especially our right flank is nonexistent. Palace looks veeeery comfortable in their low block and have little to no problems defending atm.

Passing the ball around a lot. Benta, Bissouma, Royal and Madders are not beating a man or breaking any lines, thus making us look a bit stale. Udogie tries, but he’s not really making any waves either. Kulu’s been very weak, mostly invisible.

We miss Porro’s energy!

Not much threat from Son so far, and without Richarlison, Andersen & Ward have no worries with the few crosses that have been delivered.

Sadly under the current way of playing we just don’t shoot. Can’t score if you don’t shoot. We want to walk the ball into the net.

This is going to be an issue. Rightly or wrongly, he never compromises his principles.

This time, he actually needs to. Teams aren’t going to start having a go at us when it’s easier to just sit back and try to bypass our midfield by hoofing it over the top.

Royal would look more comfortable on the surface of the moon, than the final third

Possibly as poor/uninspiring as we have been that. Biss/Lolo don't seem to have an understanding, with the former looking really lethargic. I understand they have 10 men behind the ball an it's hard with little space, but we have to find a way of breaking teams down. Werner isn't much use in this situation as he needs to be on the break to have any effect on the game. Madders still not reagined his buzz yet either. Difficult to see how to change this, but Sarr probably needs to be on early and we should probably look to hook Werner shortly after HT. Big 45 coming, might be make or break time? Come on lads!

Loads of players off it as usual and we just aren't creating chances. Fully behind Ange and I do believe this is just a hangover of players injuries and us not getting players playing together to make a cohesive team.

I do have a slight fear that we have dropped off a cliff though as a team. Our patterns just aren't there, we don't put players in when we should and we barely up the pace to more than pedestrian. Off the ball we are the same, pressing and intensity just not there. I back Ange to get it right but the PL is a different beast to where he has done things previously, teams and managers are making things really difficult for us and so far we haven't shown the ability to adjust ourselves.

For today, no changes at HT unless forced. The team was miles off it not one player individually. They need to up the intensity with and without the ball.

I've been thinking that all season tbh. Both full backs are vital that we get proper rotation for.

Third lifeless home game in a row. Lots of passing in the middle third and nothing else.

We’ve not got the ball to the line and cut it back to a man in the box for ages and that’s meant to be the “Ange's style of football” goal.

Timo wide open for a ball over the top and we’ve played it once.

Not seen the stats but assume it’s 80% possession and no shots on target again.
82% and less attempts than Palace (2v3).

There is a decent argument for any one of Scarlett, GLC, Sarr and Brennan to come on in my opinion
