Do you recall how shit Dier looked as a DM in the preseason before the 15/16 season? The conventional wisdom on SC at that time was that Dier was just a placeholder so that Poch could employ his preferred tactics in those preseason matches and that surely we'd be targeting a real DM as Dier was so shit it'd be a disaster if we didn't. Well we didn't go for a DM, and we made a title push that season. Sometimes it takes more than 90 minutes worth of football for a young player to adapt to a new role.

Clearly rusty, but I love bergwijn’s unselfishness and how he always plays with his head up. Him and Lucas batting for one spot (yes there’ll be a ton of rotation) will help them both. I truly think bergwijn can become a star with all the attributes he has, and plus it seems he is a really dedicated worker. Dele great too as well as Lucas.

I've got high standards. I want my right forward to be on par with Son. Bergwijn and Lucas are good players and great plan B. Just my opinion

He's been playing deeper too. I don't remember him ever playing this well when he's been playing this deep. It would be absolutely fantastic if he can develop into a player who can play at the front of a midfield three.

There are signs in these two games that Dele has taken Jose's message to heart. Work! Realise your potential! Leave your brother at home!
He looks like the Dele of 3 seasons ago, the one where enough of the audacity and risk paid off for him to do amazing things every match. Not the oft-injured Dele of the past couple of seasons, who looks 80% fit, runs into culs-de sac and rarely tries anything outrageous.
He's on the pitch to be outrageous. It's his USP. Doing stuff others can't do. Perhaps he's realised that being outrageous works better when you do the hard work in training.

I think @Ronwol196061 was my favourite last year but you're certainly the frontrunner for my favourite poster of 2020 as I love that no matter what thread I'm in, I'll get to see some really elite multiple fantasy transfer ideas being cooked up.
