Is it just my imagination or was Ali effing and blinding when he was subbed off for Foyth? If I'm right it shows he doesn't rate Poch, and is not the only one or he wouldn't have had the confidence to react that way.

So many players were absolute turd today. Special mention to Kane who doesn't even look good enough for league 1, honestly... If Moura was given all the minutes he has gotten he would surely have used them better. Dier - jesus christ. Lo Celso, while not bad, was a little underwhelming for me, given the amount of praise he gets.

Poch is just a complete lemon... I feel like he finally dropped Eriksen from fan pressure alone. He would play all his mates all the time if he could get away with it. Team selection is most definitely NOT a meritocracy under him.

We're fucked, and I don't really care anymore. It hardly hurts when we concede... used to be so different.

I have never seen so many disagree, wtf, doh, or dislikes in a thread before. FFS, if you disagree with someone say why you disagree or dislike their posts. Too many drive by emojis don't make for a good discussion.

The depressing thought about the result is I'm happy we got a point because it was clearly undeserved

Two words. Tottenham Hotspur

Leicester have a great squad, solid mix of experience and young talent, large home grown quota, and a board willing to invest their relatively limited funds heavily in securing top talent. And they’re 2nd in the league.

Why would Rodgers leave that and join our current catastrophe?

Yeah because we're just so huge that any manager is just so desperate to join us regardless of their current situation.
So when BR joined Leicester, they were top of the league? No, he wanted a path back to the premiership. I never said any manager, I said Rodgers.

Well Rodgers is managing a very good Prem side with good financial backing. We're not such a big deal that the manager of Leicester will immediately leave to join us in the middle of a campaign.

Exactly. That's his best position, but somehow Poch thinks he should be wide.
Made the same mistake with Dembele for a year and a half. No eye for a midfield player. And we wonder why we have had no MF for 2 seasons.

Our starters are getting older and the young replacements did not step up. As simple as that...

You're right. I remember that. Dele was fuming over something but then the camera cut away and the shit commentary ignored it. Not sure if he was upset over being subbed or raging at a Utd player. He was not a happy boy that's for sure.

Playing against a team with a high press with Aurier, Dier, Sanchez and Sissoko wasn't the best thing to do. None of them are great on the ball, either controlling or passing, which was very sloppy throughout. But looking at the options it is difficult to pick better alternatives.

Winks is better on the ball but not as strong as Sissoko.
Alderweireld on the bench, unfit or rested? Or just out of favour? Vertonghen injured? Genuine questions btw, I don't know.
No Rose in the matchday squad, no KWP either. Foyth for right back? Not confident there either. Sessegnon is more of a left sided player than a defender.

This area of the field invited trouble almost from the kick off. Made it very hard to get out and Dier was booked with probably the first foul of the game. Quite lucky not to get another for the push, perhaps he would have been carded if it wasn't going to be a second yellow.

Kane was isolated yet again. And looked very leggy. Moura on with 5 mins to go is (another) misuse of him. 65-70 mins, perhaps, but subs are always later than they should be. Foyth for Alli was another. Inviting pressure. Not sure Eriksen would have been the right move either. Perhaps Sess on the left, moving Son across and subbing Kane for Moura. At least it adds some pace and outlets. Having to replace NDombele at half time was a blow.

We're generally a very dull side to watch. There were a few good moves but they weren't finished off. The play is predictable and panicked, I find. Need to snap out of this funk, but while the same things keep happening, either because they are forced such as rotation or because of (I presume) the Manager's mindset then I don't see what will change it - except for a complete change in staff. Not that I'm calling for that. Just looking at the options: can't sign players yet; CL and internationals to rotate ahead of or because of; injury and illness. Going round in circles at the moment.

nearly a full calendar year is a fucking long bad period though isn’t it?

I think, (and may be incorrect) that we have won just six of our last twenty six PL games.

Name me another manager who would still be in charge of PL club given those stats.

It’s been a fair few years since l cut football from the list of things I care about but I’ve done it this weekend. Football’s just one amusement among multitudes and when it ceases to amuse it loses its purpose. In the 45 years I’ve been a fan I’ve done this cyclically, which I suppose makes me a fair-weather fan, and so be it, it’s only a game involving people I don’t know and who don’t know me. Saturday night ping-pong parties, step up, your time has come! See you on the bright side! ?
