We need to stay focused, not believe our early hype and avoid complacency. Regardless, we “should” be too good not to pick up 3 points

They have 11 players either doubtful or ruled out. I'm not sure how many would usually start, but fuck me that's rough for a newly promoted team.
I'd rather we didn't have to play their 2nd team with the vast majority out. It didn't go so well for us last time... :cautious:

Their Manager speaks:

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom expects Tottenham to "show their quality" on Saturday but insists his side travel to north London "with no fear".

The Blades manager has been impressed with what he has seen from Ange Postecoglou's side so far this season and knows how tough a test they will pose.

"I have enjoyed watching them so far," said Heckingbttom. "It has been interesting having a good look at how they have gone about their work.

"They have got undoubted threats and we are going to see that. We cannot go there hoping they will underperform. They have got players that have not been quiet in any games and we will expect them to show their quality.

"But I'd like to think we can cause them problems."

It has been a slow return to the Premier League with just one point taken from United's opening four games but Heckingbottom is keen to instil a positive mindset within his squad.

"We want to be fearless in everything we do," he said. "It's about being aggressive and going out and trying to perform.

"We want to take risks and when we have the ball to create chances, not slow the game down. It is harder in this league, but if we have players that are trying to get on the ball and do the right thing, I will defend them.

"We'll have a go at Tottenham."

From how easily I saw Palace and Everton create chances against these lot at Bramall Lane I’d like to think that if we play well and hit our stride for just 25-30 minutes of this game it will be enough to take control of the game and score a couple of goals. I don’t really believe what their manager has said though about their approach to the game - I expect them to sit pretty deep, especially having seen what we did to Burnley’s high line.

Hopefully no negative surprises when our team news is announced.

You can walk around the whole ground apart from the away section on the concourses. You are not allowed to enter the seated areas without a valid ticket. So in theory you will not be able to bring your nephew into the seared area of the south stand. However, we hardly ever get asked to show our tickets to the stewards in the south stand so you should not have a problem. However, the west stand it is difficult to go and see my mates as the steward this area to a much higher standard and I usually get turned away even an hour before ko.
I mean, you probably shouldn't but as soon as it's kicked off he could walk in and stand in front of you in the south stand. Lots of people seem to have 2-3 people to a "seat" in the standing section.

I was really looking forwards to this match- but as both Madds and Ange got player and manager of the month- this has been a curse in the past getting these awards.
Please don't be true this time.
(Congrats to both for their awards)

Will be interesting to see not only the starting eleven but also what the bench looks like. Ange mentioning that Dier previously had an injury makes me think that he'll be on the bench on Saturday, taking Ashley's spot. I think Forster will stay on the bench while Brennan takes Sanchez place in the squad.

Spurs D-W-W-W
Sheffield United L-L-L-D

Tottenham Hotspur
Odds 1.29 = 78%
W: 99%
When the odds are 1.29 the expected chance of winning is 78%, but this team actually wins 99% matches with these odds.

All players returned from international week without any injuries - amazeballs! That's cheered me up.

Are there any webcams in the stadium, have Sheff parked their bus yet.

Cant wait.
Hopefully we are firing on all cylinders from the start and get a goal early.
Also hoping to see Brennan.
