Don't really see the problem with the added time at all. They waste 12 minutes, we got 12 minutes. 🤷‍♂️
The MASSIVE error was the 3 minutes given at the end of the 1st half. It made such a mockery of the league so called "clamp down" on time wasting. The fucking keeper was on the deck for more than 3 minutes alone.

That's where the ref lost all control. Everyone in the crowd and on the pitch knew he was unfit to referee. Made for a febrile atmosphere

I'll give him inconsistent refereeing because we've all moaned about that but I don't agree at all with him whining about the accusations of time wasting. What are we supposed to do, not try to influence how they play out from the back? If it looks like they're playing short, of course you're going to make moves to mark their defenders. Maybe if they didn't do everything so interminably slowly (deliberately, to waste time), they wouldn't find it so problematic.
Its absolutely insane that a coach is complaining about this.

It is one of the fundamentals in training. Building from the back and adjusting to how the opposition press/set up.

To complain about this sounds like you are simply saying " We want to make a short pass but you wont let us, how dare you"

Guessing this has been mentioned somewhere and I missed it but…it’s a massive foul throw for their goal. He’s miles over the line.

While I think he’s correct in questioning the standard of the referees as it’s really poor and the one today was truly awful, he’s not telling the full story about his team. During the pre match warm up they had a coach half way in our half for a good ten minutes with their keeper continually practising taking long goal kicks. They knew what they were doing, it was blatant time wasting in the first half.
The inconsistencies of refs is poor. the keeper should’ve been booked for time wasting in line with the new directive. It was also a match without any real nasty incidents but he booked 11 players and sent off one. There was a point where I did think it may boil over and that would’ve been completely the fault of the ref for not managing the game properly. Ultimately the refs and VAR are ruining the game but he’s got a cheek to say they weren’t wasting time.

It's also a massive error to allow a team to waste enough time to force you into having to add 12 min of extra time.

Talk about putting your own failure on display (literally). "I completely failed to control the game for 90 minutes, so here's another 12."

And if he doesn't handball kulu IS through on goal.

It was still too far out on the right hand side and I am sure there were defenders back towards the middle. So not a clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity, still had a lot of work to do.

You’re welcome.

Thanks a lot mate :D I looked at that when you posted it and thought I could definitely see that coming in! Think everything but the result (obviously) was done pretty early too.

The stoppage time has nothing to do with the referee.

Also mcburney was lucky not to get a yellow in the first half for kicking the ball away.

Haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but was very noticeable in the stadium and on clips just how many stayed for the whole game.

Shouldn’t be something noticeable but how many times over the last few years have we been losing after 90+ mins and yet the stadium is still packed out.

Used to get waves of people leaving on 82mins but even after the final whistle the stands were still packed out even though we were losing going into extra time.
