I'm looking forward to this game tonight especially to see our first signing of the next season Grealish who I believe will work miracles for us just behind Kane, Son & Bale.
That should work well. He and Hugo will also be able to share a taxi when they go a beer together :sneaky:

Cheers for creating the post as always @Bulletspur - I went for a draw, but to be honest I don't think anyone could comfortably predict anything in this bizarre season.

I think with fans in the ground we will absolutely go for it so expect to see a pretty attacking side again.

Will be leaving shortly and despite the shit show that has been this season I'm excited to get back "home" and see some people I haven't seen since April. Just hope our performance lives up to it.

Very jealous, i can't wait to getting back to the ground, i only go about 4-5 times a season because of living in Norfolk and work, life etc but i've really missed those match days. Hope it's a good one ?

Over/Under on number of posts that comment on some body language by Kane that suggests he is off/staying?

No Rodon in the squad again tonight.

WTF is Mason playing at.

My uninformed guess is that he doesn't want to needlessly change a winning team and is also going with PL experience for his squads.

He was given the job of steadying the ship for 6 games and thats precisely what he is doing.

Rational statement that. Can understand that and get behind it.

I can understand the consistency in team selection, hopefully trying to get that bit of momentum to push over the line.

That's all fair enough.

But what I can't understand is how Rodon isn't even getting a spot on the bench when the likes of Sanchez & The D Word are. He's looked nowhere near as calamitous as those 2 but seems to have been exiled, despite training well & showing a professional attitude (Masons words).

Sanchez plays right side defence. Rodon plays left side defence. Doherty plays right back.

Plus everything written above about steady team selection to see out the season. It has resulted in 5 goals conceded in 5 matches, which is fractionally better than our average for the season (1.09/match across all competitions, 1.11/match in the league) and 2 clean sheets, so it is not as if it has been a disaster so far.

The approach has obviously been to go for experience and steadiness in the centre of defence and pace on the flanks. Sanchez and Rodon are quick, but I wouldn't call Rodon experienced and I wouldn't call Sanchez steady.
