Important announcement :

For those of you who don't yet know, we have people working undercover for us at Villa. They have been specifically assigned to spread false and confounding details of our team formation.

So, please refrain from any further comments on the subject, as this will endanger our plans and may derail our strategy on the matter.

Thank you.

Clearly, the remit extends to convincing poor, unsuspecting Villains to buy the Alan Hutton's of this World...and the Jonah Jenas :eek:mg:

SP, it seems that you have misunderstood the message, or rather you, Sir, have malicious intentions. This is because, with what you said here, you have uncovered a plot which, I must say, until now was a very successful worked out manouvre from our end

Its going to be the same team again

-----------Friedle
Walker-Kaboul-King-BAE
Lennon-Modric-Parker-Bale
--------VDV
-------------Ade

If parker is unfit then sandro playes, if VDV isnt fit then Defoe plays.

Yea I really want Ade to score tomorrow. I've been really happy with his input without scoring but it would be amazing if he could add regular goals to that.

No way on gods green earth will we lose tomorrow.

Villa have not won an away game all season. It's a McLeish team ffs!

3-1 or 4-1 to us.

Furthermore, they've only score 6 away goals.

You're right, I can't argue with that, but...

...it would hardly be the first time we've messed up in a game none of the pundits could see us losing would it.

I do fancy us to win comfortably tomorrow if we start like we have in most of our games this season, but I have that nagging feeling in the back of my mind that we're due a slip.

Quite a few feel like this, its in our DNA....but to be honest we havn't had a group of players like this in a very long time.

If we apply ourselves the way we have been doing there should only be one winner albeit anything can happen in a game of football...

Well the next match at WHL is the return of the Villa, what sort of game are we gonna get, Arguably spurs are on a role of late.

Just to let you guys im a villa fan, so am intersted in your views.

Just wondered if anybody would be interested in a two sided question and answers session. I currently run astonvillatoday.wordpress.com and have a feature called Opposition view and will gladly give you all credit.

I honestly kinda see the Fulham game as something of our slip-up, and we still won.

Parker will make all of the difference in giving us drive where it was lacking last season - I am nowhere near as concerned as I was last season, in terms of consistency (though I am sure, like almost every team, we will drop the occasional dumb point or three).

Im in total agreement.

Just compare the spine of our team from last season to this season....

Last season

Gomes
Dawson/Gallas
Huddlestone
Crouch

This season (so far)

Friedel
King
Parker
Adebayor

I know it's still early days, but the comparison says it all for me.

Like I've already said, I am confident but there's just that little bit of apprehension at the back of my mind.

Can't wait for COYS!!!

Me too. If we win, we go third with a game in hand. We're normally playing catch up at this time of the year. This is new territory for us and although this is a new spurs, the old spurs still rears its ugly head to cast doubt.

Like most games lately I'm wondering when we pick up our 1st serious injury to one of our best players, be it Bale,Parker,King,Ade.... Seeing the way Villa were kicking lumps out of west brom a couple of weeks ago says it all about Mcleish's style of management. If we come out tomorrow with 3 pts and no injuries I will be a very happy man. I think an early goal will be essential to open them up a bit, otherwise it'll be a scrap from start to finish.
