Just had my only football bet of the season as being a Spurs fan for 30+ years and having a natural pessimistic tendency that we'll naff up I've just laid us on the Betfair Exhange to finish top 4 @1.07 to win £1000 for an exposure of £70.

More than happy to lose the £70 but £1000 payout will soften the blow. 1.07 just feels far too short.

I have no idea what any of this means. Are you betting for or against us?

Of course they have all their strongest eleven available.

Going to be a tough game, let's hope Eriksen, Alli + Son turn up

My mate’s policing it today and messaged me earlier to just remind me that he and his colleagues all really fucking hate West Ham.

Helps that he’s Millwall.
Millwall policeman covers West Ham Spurs match. What could possibly go wrong lol.

I used to police the Chelsea shed end in the 80's. We were instructed to enforce the ground rules, which included a ban on swearing. That was really fun!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

According to the injury thread, Jan's got a knock and isn't being risked today (needs a rest as well).

Could be this too...personally hope it is as I think Foyth can ball watch a bit and will need the support to cover.

GK Lloris (C), RWB Foyth, CB Sanchez, CB Alderweireld, CB Davies, LWB Rose, M Dier, M Eriksen, M Dele, M Lucas, CF Son.

Don't know about the midfield but would expect 3 in front of Dier in some sort of arrangement behind Son.
Yeah. Hoping it'll be this. I really dont fancy Rose in midfield

By laying you are acting as the bookmaker. So I am effectively offering someone to bet £1000 with me to win £70 on Spurs finishing in the top 4.

If Spurs finish top 4 I lose £70. If we balls up today or against Bournemouth and Everton which is perfectly possible and finish outside the top 4 I collect £1000. In traditional betting odds Spurs are 1/14 to finish top 4 hmmm

Love it that Rose gets interviewed at a beautiful media centre with mood lighting. Anderson gets interviewed in a port-a-cabin....

Apart from obviously winning this , just hope we get through without anymore injuries. Anthony Taylor is not renowned for being very tough, hope he has some balls and does the right thing if they get nasty

I'm surprised Rose is playing. Would also have liked KWP to get a start.

Edit: not at left back
