People crying calling it unacceptable get some perspective, our biggest game in our history Tuesday and we didn't have a proper midfield. We had to rest certain players and had 2/3 players playing out of position. We are in a fine position for top4 so stop having a paddy and look at the big picture.

So much for our squad then! None of the replacements looked like they were bothered about securing a first team place!! Maybe Poch has killed any ambition in the second string due to sticking to favourites no matter how badly they perform (Alli & Ericksen)!!

Why wasn’t Son given the pen second half? Looked nailed on from high in the South
Son telegraphed coming inside and the defender read it and got in the way so Son threw himself.

His touch was off again today Son but no idea why Poch moved him to RM to accommodate a very poor Alli centrally.

His goals and assists are what he's paid for, and he's quite fucking effective when played in the correct role.

It's not his fault that the club saw fit to go into the season with four central midfielders, one of whom was permacrocked, one of whom is a CB, one of whom was signed as a right winger, and the last of whom has never yet played a season without significant injury layoffs.
What about that assist he decided not to give Sonny when it was a very easy pass if he had any technical ability and could use his left foot? What about the break in the 2nd half when he was turned around and couldn't get a pass off before the defender came and turned him around. Or the ball in the center circle that he decided to bumble and bumble until he was tackled from behind leading to a break.

He was signed as a MF, don't revise history. He was moved up top because he was liability defensively. And he was shit last year so our transfer business had nothing to do with that. In fact he's always been shit but happened to pop up with a goal and that has saved/burnished his reputation beyond his actual footballing ability. But folks don't consider the opportunity cost of his bumble when we might actually be more effective if there was a technically sound footballer in his position. Sure, he might pop up with a winning goal at the death but another footballer eg havertz or Brandt might have scored early and set up another 2 or 3. But that takes thought to consider stuff like that. And folks that fixate on shiny objects don't like to do all that thinking stuff.

The wrong move was taking moura off and bringing llorente. Not that llorente was bad but it seemed our best chance was on the counter.

I know it was disappointing game, but way too much negativity in here. With all the injuries we have had and obviously no signings, every person here would have signed up at beginning of season for controlling our own destiny for top 4 with two games left as well as a CL semifinal matchup with Ajax.

The team has stepped up in CL all season with good performances even when they weren't playing well in the PL. Verts will be back with Toby. I think Tuesday will be ok against Ajax. Would be nice to get some midfielders healthy. Winks and Sissoko being healthy would have made a huge difference today.

We missed Mo Sissoko big time today. He would have injected much pace, tenacity and urgency into our midfield today.

Having any one of Sissoko, Winks or Kane in that team would have changed the result. Maybe even Lamella.

Having the sort of injuries we have and playing a derby game 3 days before a CL semi-final, I find it hard to be critical.

7 defensive players because we left ourselves short we in the summer, our only attacking options on the bench are a guy that Poch probably didn’t plan on using again and Llorente who is just too slow, we need some attacking pace on the bench to speed things up when we’re struggling. We dont have a plan b as we don’t have the players to do it

And the worry is we only have 2 offensive players currently injured

First away win for the disgusting spammers in 2019.....

And it must be us when when we are trying to build the home ground as a fortress..

Ffs, are we really underestimating them so much?
Unfortunately the game means much more to them

It's easy to pick out some stand out performances from certain individuals once in a while. But Dier is fucking rubbish. Way way too slow and his touch is atrocious. Its NOT enough to be just a big lump of a bloke, you need more than that to be a good midfielder. Dele utter gash since I can't remember when. Davies slooooow. Sanchez sloow and prone to brainfarts. Trippier...well. Fucking hell I could go on and on. We need some quality and if we persist in thinkung the aforementioned are that, then were knackered.

Too many tired legs. Too many injuries. Alli was way off the pace and looked exhausted from the start. Janssen should have started or come on at half time. Llorente can’t hold up the ball and we aren’t putting in the crosses for him to use his head anyway. We will still get top 4, but we need Alli and Eriksen to turn up if we want anything against Ajax.

I have to confess, this was the first time today I have ever bet against Spurs. Just felt this wouldn't be an easy game and they'd find that extra 5-10% against us as per, we'd have a disjointed team, pressure might get to us. And so it's played out.

I also don't think this is a particularly good team this year. A dozen league defeats, what 17/18 in all competitions(?), yes there are mitigating circumstances but lets face it, even without them standards of our play are way down on previous seasons. I haven't got any faith in us, because we haven't shown any consistency. Amazingly though, despite all this, by strange fate it would of course be the season where we go further in the CL than ever before and winning it is actually coming over the horizon at us. Oh and Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal have managed to be even worse, just about. Funny old game isn't it. But it's masking a lot of bollocks from this season.

And I can only assume Poch didn't want to win this game, given some of his selections. Six defenders on the pitch again, takes Moura off at 0-0 when others/Poch's favourites were stinking the joint out, ends up with two targetmen on the pitch but we have no width on the right (until Foyth finally contributes in the 94th minute, impressively but it had to wait that long for anyone on the right to get in a crossing position) and then takes our width on the left off, so we just lump it towards the box from miles away, and then to top it all off we finish with Wanyama and Dier on the pitch. Fucking bonkers.
I have a no bet against Spurs rule but was well aware of the value at around 7/1 for a West Ham win which I was , unfortunately, expecting

Easy in hindsight but Eriksen was playing so deep I thought he was in the back four we should have been at these from the whistle not bugger about for 75 min dare I say we missed trippier badly today
Agree Eriksen was too deep but I thought Foyth was one of the better players today.

It was madness selling Dembele without getting in a replacement. We could have done with Dembele over the last few weeks

Do you honestly think the squad was sufficient today? Looking at the central midfield, the attacking options on the bench, and the obvious fatigue of so many who started the match do you really feel that Poch had enough at his disposal?

We had the most players reach the World Cup semis of any club aside from Real Madrid. The Premier League saw fit to start the season a week earlier than every other league in Europe for some utterly bizarre reason. We were the only club IN THE HISTORY OF FUCKING TRANSFER WINDOWS to go a summer without signing a single new player. We've sustained a season-long injury crisis (a direct result of the aforementioned) which has prevented us from rotating to anywhere near the extent we would normally do.

Despite all that we sit third, above clubs with vastly more resources than us, and in the CL semis. You really think it's just a lack of heart?

You sort of agree then?
