Prince Boateng should not be on that list. He was missmanaged by us imo
He was too busy out getting bottled in night clubs and pretending to be a gangsta...not mismanaged, he just wasn't worth the time.

Yeah and also what about Khumalo who's a) still with us and b) NEVER played for usPutting Fryers in there when he hardly played, was never particularly awful, and was sold for what he was bought for seems rather unfair.

The official site was devastated, they had to find a new rent-a-quote!We sold Zeki Fryers this summer?!
I meant Jenkins!He was a decent player.
Shit list, so many who should not be anywhere near that list:
We have signed some real shit over the years which could easily fill this list up.
- Darren Bent goals in 1-3 is by no means a disaster, particularly when not getting a run of games.
- Danny Murphy "past his best"..... erm not really played 6 more seasons 5 of which were in the PL. He just wasn't needed.
- Saha? Did what we needed provided cover for the squad, was never going to be first choice.
- Zamora, yeah ok was pretty shit for us but allowed us to pick up Defoe
- Jose Dominguez should no way be on the list again not first choice and was adequate
- Zeki? Really the guy barely played and was pretty decent when he did (well IMO)
- Pletikosa, didn't get any game time for some reason but was a loan
Booth, Raziak and Saha were cheap last minute stand-ins... and that's what they did.
I thought he was alright, for a older freebie.
He was a victim of Redknapp's eye-off-the-job phase between Capello resigning and Woy getting the job
Also, he showed his quality in Ledley's testimonial. Quality player hampered by injury
Or of Levy's planning for Harry's departure in May whether he got the England job or no and being very unwilling to shell out big bucks on players for him.
Or because we had a chance to get some of our money back on the Rubbish Russian, and there was very little chance of getting a top-drawer striker in January.
Choose your conspiracy theory here.
On top of which, Harry only seemed to lose the thread in February.
If you're genuinely asking a question, can you rephrase it as that lot didn't fit together too well and comes across as a bit of a ramble.
All I know is that between 9th Feb and 1st May, when the England job was available and Harry was asking Rodgers if he wanted to assist him, we played 11 PL games and won only three. We lost one more game (5) in those 11 games than in the 24 games prior to that (4). We didn't lose a game after Roy got the job. A conspiracy is an unexplained event, whereas this one seems to explain itself quite well, IMO.
No shit! As I said, the wheels didn't come off until February, several weeks after we signed Saha. Between 1 January and 8 February we took 14 from seven, culminating in a 5-0 rout of Newcastle. We then had three difficult games against Arsenal, United and Everton, two of them away, and anyone who expected that we'd still have our 10-point lead after those was delusional. We took 16 from the remaining 10, which wasn't that bad; it was stupid defeats against QPR and Norwich, and a draw against Sunderland, that cost us. Win just one of those, it was a different story.
You're also ignoring the fact that injuries and loss of form caught up with Parker and our talisman Ledley, who may have made more errors in that sequence of games than the rest of his career put together.
