I doubt that this isn't already the case in youth circles but you've got to think Donley is catching a lot of admirers from outside of Spurs with his displays this year.

I really hope we get to see him or some of our other prospects so at least they build a profile that allows them to get decent loans in the summer

Loaning out Donley is ridiculous
It does feel that way but he's going to need some proper football soon and if he doesn't get a chance with our current 'crisis' going on, maybe a loan wouldn't be a bad thing?

The squad is not the biggest, and the quality worse. Madders injured, and is also injury prone. Lack of creativity in the squad. Carnage to loan him. I would then begin to question with the youngsters. Seems we put them on the bench as trophies.

I'd rather see him get time off the bench with the first team but I can't see him getting in ahead of lo Celso unless he goes in January.

We can't just keep him in the "just in case"zone like we have with others in the past and just killed their progression

It seems they haven't changed their modus operandi. The lads were told they would be given a chance. So many injuries and our youngsters were not given a single minute.

Possibly a consequence of circumstance??
I don't think anyone expected us to be up at the top of the table and as such Ange might have originally planned to blood youth but the longer we went unbeaten the harder it was.
Even now, despite and injury/suspension nightmare we are still within touching distance of the top and maybe Ange is feeling the pressure and relying on more established players in the hope of avoiding a potential drop off.

Personally I would love to see him blood Donkey, Phillips and Dorrington in particular but it's easy saying that from my arm chair without any pressure whatsoever.

That's the thing, we'd all love to see Donley get minutes but he's bound to be behind Lo Celso in the pecking order and while he's here, it's not likely that Donley gets picked ahead of him.

It does seem as though Ange is unsur about Gio though, so we'll see what happens over the coming weeks and into the transfer window.

Donley is certainly knocking on the door but as you say, I'd rather loan him out than see him stagnate like many before him have.

As it says Germany U20s v England U20s @ 17:00. There's a possibility of Devine and Scarlett playing in this.

Results so far haven't been good, three defeats from three games.
